Not unfairly though I may add. Downing should never of been given the opportunity to wear a Liverpool shirt, let alone England. I rate Shelvey but would not have him in the England squad over Lallana.
I've always liked Shelvey, and I think he could potentially be a very good player for England in the future. Sterling will obviously get there as well. Then you've got United's Nick Powell, who I think is going to be phenomenal. Lallana on the left and you've got an awesome midfield there.
Potentially awesome..... I doubt it will become awesome though, there is always so much potential for the english team but it never quite gets there for some reason or another
