Interesting analogy, but I don't think that KL does gamble. Is it not possible by shrewd purchases and organic growth to build towards CL over the next two or three seasons? That sounds more like her style.
The investment in the training facilities is massive and we have laid out a lot on players for a team of our size, so I think the Leihberrs (M and K) have been extremely supportive. She is showing a lot of interest (quite frankly, we can't get her out of the place) and wants to involve the fans more...not a lot to dislike really. Our income has increased greatly in the last few years, but there were losses in the previous seasons. I'm expecting a decent amount of money for MP to spend, but we are not Chelsea or Man City (and I don't want us to be). 'Slowly, slowly catchee monkey' is more our style.
Think they mean chances created for other players! And fourth out of all midfielders is pretty good isn't it?

Hadn't considered that. When I said a poor 4th, I actually meant that the 3 above him were a lot better...I worded it poorly...4th is good.
Actually 69 chances, but only 6 assists is a pretty damning indictment of the quality of finishing in the team!
Just read that again and I can scarcely believe I am saying this Echo piece seems a totally sensible article regarding the future and spells it out. If we can continue the progress forward then the players will stay. I don't think that means that they expect silly money to be spent this summer, but good strategic strengthening to be assured that the project is still on. Has anyone showed Katherina the DVD yet?

Darren Gough made an extremely good point about managers as well. An unusually good listen. You can even cut out the adverts.
