Unless the victim has decided to say it didn't happen, there will be evidence.

Physical evidence of the sex may not be necessary for conviction, nor may anyother incontrovertible evidence, such as recorded confessions from the accused. It would be a pretty poor system if that were to be the case.

 

It's basically setting a child up for sex

 

It's establishing a relationship with a minor in order to engage into sexual activity.

So in this case it appears to be that he's been in contact with her on social media, knowing she's a minor, with the intent of at least one of the charges of sexual activity of a minor that he's accused of.

 

The indictment stated on the first count that Johnson had communicated with the 15-year-old girl on two previous occasions before meeting her while not reasonably believing she was 16 or over.

The second count Johnson pleaded guilty to was sexual activity with a child on 30 January 2015, which involved touching the youngster sexually while not reasonably believing she was over the age of 16 and could be anything as little as a kiss.
