Aye, it's the kind of thing you discuss with work colleagues.

"Hey Johnno, did you know the legal age in a few European countries is 15."
".......seriously??? **** I'm in."

Seriously though, they could easily prove that with phone records.

Then proved he googled it but he said it was a discussion in the locker room.

Is this right that the mackems knew what Johnson had admitted in the police interview and still reinstated him? I had assumed that was not the case. If they did, and have simply chosen to overlook it or hidden behind the "the law says we have to treat him as innocent until proven guilty", then that is very poor by the club. It seems to suggest they had transcripts in which he admitted kissing the girl etc. I have just caught up a little, he sounds a right wrongun.

The football club are on very thin ice playing him with just the court case hanging over him but if they knew of his guilt they have crossed the line. Outrageous IMHO.

It reads as though they had proof he was a likely nonce yet chose to still play him. I may be understanding it wrong though.

Whilst kissing someone underage is questionable, morally repugnant I don't think it can be considered a sacking offence.

This would have been difficult for the Sunderland board and I think that they did the right thing in waiting for more information what has now come to light.
