i know what i have watched over the last season and a half from aj and i was far from content with what i saw from him as you know ,at the present hes showing some form but if we are all totally honest it has been a long wait, will we wait the same length of time with jozy ,wickham ,graham its all about opinions of course and that was mine which i will stand by as a cash customer i am entitled to my view as you are yours

My point was Some people can't see potential in players when they play poorly. They let their personal feelings which are formed on form dictate their views.

You're spot on with your comments but you must admit at one point you believed the sort of performance he's been putting in was way beyond his capabilities. Just like a lot of people are blind to Jozy's potential even though there's no denying he, like AJ earlier in the season, are/were playing very poorly.

he was signed as a established england player not one for the future, and of course its personal feelings and of course its based on form ,thats why i have voiced my views on here since the start ,the players skills was never in question ,his desire and drive has been ,if gus has triggered him into a run of form thats brilliant ,when he runs at defenders its what i expect from him the crossing is what i expect from him and now its up to him to be undroppable for anybody else ,as i say its been to long coming for me.
Further to this the general style of play has up until gus took over been poor to be fair to aj ,for too long he had no service in front of him as most times he had to receive the ball with him going away from goal ,a regular supply to him also helps his form as he is obviously a confidence player.
Last night we should have constantly fed the ball and pushed towards him , it was an ideal situation which i think we didnt handle very well at all tbh.

The last England coach to come to Sunderland was the Economic E1 bus via the Bay Hotel and Roker Avenue.

A few months ago I wanted to sell Johnson...to raise money for a decent striker. However facts change opinions and now we have to hang onto him...we still need a striker mind.

Got to sort of agree with Stu here, AJ frustrated the hell out of me and I was thinking he was championship quality at best. I would have had Larsson on the RW over him. I think I am quite a good judge of potential usually and I just thought he was always a yard short and too weak. But I have been proved wrong recently and I am glad I have been.

its a point not worth making ,i have my views as you have yours and it makes no difference to me what yours are about him, potential is what wickhams signing was about and in my eyes still is ,aj was a signing for then and now as a established prem player, as i say ,long may he stay in form we need him to be the player we have waited for to shine, good debate bud.

I have always backed him and always seen what others failed to. I saw quality in him from his first game and knew he was capable of far more than he was giving. I'm finally being proved right

If Sterling gets in the England squad ahead of him I will be dumbfounded.
Running about like a headless chicken ala Sterling is the last thing England need, as was proved by Downing.
