Seems we have a leader, grafter, captain come on board ,Brighton fans are gutted. Gutted doesn't even get anywhere near it, what a shambles!!! Spot on. It's also a good place to bring up a young family. If he can help raise the sleeping giant that is Brizzle City, he'll be a huge hero down there. One thing's for sure - they won't get a better trainer and more wholehearted player. Good luck Bomber. There goes the most passionate man on the pitch. Mistake letting him go. Absolutely GUTTED about this. Great servant to the club, but was not getting games and think Birmingham was the last straw for him. Bit surprised he has ended up at B C as he can definitely play at championship level. Don't know how playing in league one will affect his Egypt chances though. Wish him all the best and he will always get a great reception from the fans if he plays here again in other colours. Brighton fans reckon he is better t1*He would be a God at Ashton Gate judging by the rest of their crap defence. Will be a sad day if 'Mr Brighton & Hove Albion' leaves. You know if you cut him half, he would bleed blue & whitehan league 1 If this is true...(And it may have been proved to be a rumour or an idiotic fish on previous pages)...then it is bonkers bananas baloney! Why?Our defence has proved to be pretty tight this season and Adam has proved he can play a part. When Greer was injured he stepped in easily. I thought he more than compensated.I'd love him to remain and become one of those rarities - a one club man Great city with a similar feel to his home town, plenty of potential as a club and a big fish in a small pond. What's not to like? Miserable to see Adam go. Top bloke. Still, superb acquisition for City - they're in a scrap, and they've got a fighter. I think it's bad news for us and definitely for him. Go from a side pushing for premiership promotion to a side fighting relegation to to the 2nd division ? Crazy Yes ALA one of my favourite current Albion players not for skill not that he is total without skill as some imply but his grit determination win at all costs attitude is fantastic if he does leave then I wish him all the very best
More compliments from Brighton fans, this looks a top signing for us- He is experienced and young enough to lead Bristol City out of the relegation zone and possibly a promotion challenge next season. I am sure he will become their cult hero and it is a great move for him. Definitely captain material for them. Absolutely gutted. Big mistake letting him go. A true Albion legend. Unbelievable coup for bristol to get him. Good luck aea. Always labelled too short for a centre half but made up for it by sheer strength and defensive know how. Most improved player under Gus. Loved the way he concertina'd that defensive wall at the Amex to make room for us to score a free kick. I'll miss the classic pat the centre forward on the back of the head after every tackle. Really wound them up. I'm sure he will do well at City. Great signing for them. Surprised Charlton or Millwall were not interested in him?
Have a read of this, he seems to be one hell of an acquisition.. http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/10943792._/
Nice to read other fans positive views on one of our new signings compared to them laughing at us aka Kilkenny and Fielding
Is this for real? We have actualy signed a player from a team who's fans DONT want to see him go? ROD........no tasting the AEA mate! (ROD will know what I mean guys)
Have my ears deceived me but did I just hear that we have finally signed a good player who may have the potential of being the missing link that we have searched for over many years? Please tell me that I am not dreaming and that we could have found the player that so many previous managers told us we needed to be competitive again, in other words a commanding figure on and off the pitch that will lead by example. Yes I know he has to prove himself to the Ashton Gate faithful but there is something about the cut of his jib, and jaw, that makes me think that we may finally have struck gold. He has the look of a player that takes no prisoners and according to his previous disciples we have signed a good one here. Well done Steve Cotterill and welcome to the future Adam.
Mike.....Mikey .......its time to get up now....wakey wakey....... You were dreaming Mike and mumbling in your sleep about a new defender. Leave the bedtime cheese alone I think. By the way, City have signed a defender, age 37, from Gloucester City. A local lad so knows the area. He has recently had a bad time what with his leg in plaster and the court case and all that but says he cant wait to train with his new team mates once he gets out on remand.....
Players can go on until their late thirties in the centre back position (see Norman Hunter as an example) so 29 is no age. This could turn out to be the best bit of business we have done since the 70s. If only we'd had him last season instead, we might still be in the Championship. Still on course for my prediction that we will win the Div 1 championship next season (long as we can keep JET and sign a 20 goal striker)
Is that a light I finally see at the end of that gurt big tunnel or is it another train coming ? I think this could be a pivotal signing for us. Now if we can just get 3 points to go with it tomorrow. COYR !
All aboard the positivity train Caldicot and just for you we will have cheese sandwiches delivered by some buxom wench to you at your chosen place.
He played quite well but was caught out twice, one of which resulted in the first goal. Overall a good performance and being caught out could be due to not having the chance to build up chemistry with the team, which can be done in the future.
Avoiding defeat after being 2-0 down at half time shows we have some heart, but MK Dons should have been dead and buried while it was still 0-0
