I would like to see a couple of players sold after this signing, with Gerrard, henderon, meirles, aquilani, cole, adam, lucas, spearing , poulson, shelvey. i would send shelvey and spearing out on loan, sell cole, poulson and either aquilani or meriles
Wow, £9m on another Joe Cole. Genuinely can't see where he's going to get games ahead of Gerrard, Henderson and Mereiles
wow... because a 29 year old player who has spent the best part of his career on the bench and a 25 year old player who played virtually every game for his last club have so much in common... not to mention the fact that they play in different positions and bring different qualities in to a game
And for all everyone moaning about our negotiating style, the reported £7mil and two loanees is a good deal, knocked more than a fifth off what they apparently wanted. All speculation of course!

Yeah but Denilson cost 500k not 6.5 mill. I'm not saying he is a bad player just that I don't think he is better than Wilshire, Fabregas and Song which is fair enough no? You think he will start for you lot or is he a squad player?
You just have to get the balance of the team right and the right player with the right attitude. Look at Utd midfield of Fletcher Carrick Anderson Gibson and Scholes (Scholes being the exception) they win leagues.
He was one of Blackpool's best players on the pitch last season. If it was not for Adam he would not have got Blackpool into the premier league. He also scored goals in the premier league which the one against Manchester Utd was class. Mereiles & Cole will be probably shown the door soon after this signing. Better to have plenty of players who can play in all positions in midfield rather than having none in case Gerrard gets injuried.
