try it if you see it, fairly rare here, much more popular around the Mediterranean Horses for courses…no good to get pissed on, but if it’s hot, it’s very refreshing. My 16 year son likes to drink as it makes him feel like an adult lol
I don't drink much Lager, more of a Guinness man. However I've just sank 2 cans of Cruzcampo to rehydrate after a morning tournament at Lincoln City with my little team!
So all those Americans and other foreign owners should adopt our ways? What a load of bollox. How about those people who have chosen t live here wandering about in flowing robes and not letting their women have a social life adopt our ways?
Part of the value of an English football club is surely that it's an English football club. Of course some of these owners seem to miss that.
And why should that mean the owners change their ways? Are Saudi Arabian going to start having pints and bacon butties before the game? Go to games with their wives dressed in our latest fashions instead of being left at home covered head to foot?
Before I start, I haven’t heard the interview yet. I’ve never been a huge fan of Acun’s, but he took control from the Allams. Obviously not having Ehab in charge was a huge positive, so that was one thing I was happy with & I thought Acun was a breath of fresh air. Things seemed to immediately change. McCann got 2 brilliant results against Blackburn & Bournemouth, despite the whispers of new owner bringing in his own man, which I could see, but it did seem a bit drastic when it did happen. The new man, Shota, had worked with some big name managers, so that was a positive, surely Acun knew what he was doing with this appointment, he’s had it set up for a good few months, so can’t really go back on a deal like that despite the results, so I get it. First result 2-0 v Swansea & everything is looking good, it didn’t last & quickly became evident that Shota didn’t really have a clue, but we needed to give him the summer & see what he could do. Fair enough, but the chasing “superstars” seemed to be Acun playing football manager in real life. I’m dubious about this while a lot of people go crazy for the players we sign, to me there’s nothing great, but again, I’m willing to give him a shot. So, new season, same **** & Shota’s gone, so who’s Acun got lined up to come in….no one, really? Then he goes for a good talking young coach in Rosenior, he eventually gets the defence sorted & we’re safe, next season, another window of lots of player movement, but it seems to be Rosie having involvement in recruitment. Top 10 was what Acun wanted, obvious progression on the previous season. We’re in a good position going into the new year, in the playoffs, so we go all out to get some decent players in, won another transfer window, who was getting these players was never clear, Acun doing his football manager thing again? But things started going backwards with injuries & performances, we eventually drift out of the top 6 & finish 7th, so onto the new season, & we go again with Rosie , but then inexplicably Acun does something wild & sacks Rosie for missing out on the playoffs despite his initial top 10 aspirations. This is when I was very dubious about Acun, more than ever, but surely he’s got a plan & someone ready to jump in, but NO, another time of no manager, no player recruitment, Acun getting his feet under the table at Fenerbahce & us being left to float along & then eventually get Wallyball in & he comes with a story of a new type of football & in comes another load of players randomly selected, late, the team gets off to an awful start under Wally & a lot of fans are screaming for change very early on, for me he needs more time, finally, we get 3 wins on the bounce, it seems as though we have a chance now & it’s all turning round results wise, performances still hit & miss. Again it doesn’t last & we drift aimlessly along with defeat after defeat, for me, the Oxford result is when I finally give up on the, “he needs more time,” & into the, “get rid,” so another couple of games pass before Acun pulls the plug, surely the wait’s been because Acun was getting the replacement lined up, but again NO, so another 3 or 4 weeks pass until Selles comes in, tasked with survival, we assume. Again January sees more players come in & we win another transfer window. One of the best performances I’ve seen for a while v Sheff Utd & then back to garbage v Stoke, up & down for the rest of the season & survival by the skin of their teeth. Rumours of Selles sacking, but I’m assuming it’s click bait from local press, thinking there’s no way Acun can be this stupid again. He is, or is he? For me, he’s no better than the Allams. Different style but same ****ty power hungry egomaniacs! What happens going forward will determine how the majority of fans see Acun, he might bring in his equivalent of Steve Bruce’s appointment, or it might be another **** show of an appointment. We wait & see!
They have to be fair. Sitting on the dole having a cushy little life with nice watches and all the latest tech. Sounds like a radler, very popular in Europe they don’t seem to have really taken off here.
Think you're missing the point and trying to make a wider political one. But it makes little sense to me that someone would buy a British football club and not be aware or not accept the level of scrutiny that comes with it. Especially when that scrutiny/spotlight is an inherent part of that which has been bought into.
No idea what this is about but the AI Acun is impressively accurate. Some money/time spent on this. I think the gist is that even in 2040, Fenerbahce will still be saying the same things about next season being the one (or something like that?) and Galatasary rule.
