Everything hinges around the appeal. If Acun had agreed new payment terms relating to Barry I dont think Villa would have complained to the EFL
Doesn't sound like Villa did complain. We owed them, they owed us more, so they paid us the net balance, and we have a credit note, but EFL have picked up the lack of outgoing payment from us as sanctioned us as a result, which is why the club is seemingly so confident that the appear will be successful. It's also been speculated that the Fin Burns payment isn't so late that it would have triggered anything on its own, and it was an addition on top the Barry delay which retriggered the embargo because it was 1 day late. If that's correct and the Barry appeal is successful then all that time period will be removed, and the delay in Burns payment isn't enough to re-trigger, so we're in the clear. Or maybe whoever speculated that is just hoping. IDK either way
That would add up to why Rosenior got sacked, he basically threw his toys out the pram because he knew then that we needed promotion and nothing less.
That’s exactly what happened, apparently. Was little to do with style of play and mainly due to not finishing in the play-offs.
But if his plan had worked out, and we got promotion, you wouldn’t be saying that. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I do think he was desperate to succeed for us, whether it be for the club or his glamour.
Entertainment is fun, but football is a results business, and we missed out on the playoffs essentially by 2 goals. One against Norwich, and one against any other team we drew with, or lost by 1 against. But even then, say we scraped the playoffs, is it likely we'd have beaten Leeds over 2 legs, then Southampton at Wembley? I doubt it. Some of the home games against the bottom half teams were absolutely dire though. So was Sheff Wed away this season, but that was forgiven cos we ground out the result.
Acun’s intention from the beginning was to get us to the Premier League ASAP and flip us for a profit. He never intended to be here long.
Is that why he was clear from day one that getting to the PL would be just the start? Looking rather academic at the moment to be fair, but not an excuse for you just to keep making stuff up.
The first one is the basis for the clubs appeal, so I'd assume so. The second one could be purely speculation, unless the comment was originally made by someone ITK. I cant remember who said it, so take it with a pinch of salt.
