This isn't a post about who we are going to sign, or any of the rumours, but rather to gauge people's opinions of when you think we'll make signings. Do you think NA and NC will get their men on the bus early so they can train with us pre-season? Or will they leave it late to try and score a few bargains?
Personally I think they'll bring two or three in early but I reckon we can expect a very late deadline day signing too...I think someone with premiership experience who will add some extra quality to us.
What does everyone think?
 
I wouldn't expect to be hearing anything for at least another month.
 
Interestingly I would suggest during pre season. I would have thought the quality of players he brings in will not take too long to adjust to the way he does things now. If you think about it the formations he uses at the moment are used quite frequently in the championship and above. It is only the players that have not played at that level who would need training. Apart from may be Stephens as I am convinced that is a done deal already, for me just an announcement is needed. You are probably be right the rumours will start early next month.
 
Transfer window doesn't open officially until July. IIRC we made our first signing last summer around end of June time, so that seems like a good guess this summer as well. I think the only players we'll sign before then are free agents. TBH though, I wouldn't expect a busy summer. Adkins himself has said he only wants two or three more players.
 
This past January the one non-post-loan signing (Forte) didn't come until the last day of the window. The other signings were loans or guys already in house on loan, so if NA is bringing in 2-3 more players it doesn't seem that he moves particularly quickly.

I'm thinking nothing will happen until late August aside from a few loans here or there. Maybe some loans out.
 
I don't think there will be much movement until it is decided who is actually leaving the club. Mills perhaps, Puncheon certainly, Jaidi, Connolly, Martin. There is 5 possibilities I am sure there is likely to be a couple more of the lesser well known players as well perhaps. Maybe some in make wait transfers perhaps?
 
I guess if Pompey get rid of their players now that means they don't have to pay them during the summer. Therefore they may actually have to pay some debts off.........Just a thought. Also they are dribbling in the hope they will be able to purchase some new players if the Russians land. Once again we need to remind them that that will not be an option until all the creditors are paid. Now their 1st Parachute payment is due is it not, which is already spent on debts. Also the next two years worth in fact the whole of the parachute payments. I really cannot see them getting a Chelski type of buyer more likely the Russian mafia. So once again are they going to be taken in and for a ride. I sincerely hope not.
