That's part of the responsibilities being on a natinal team entails Players suffer injuries in UEFA, CONCACAF, etc...
I think the thing that really annoy clubs is how the national teams just deny all responsiblity when they injure a player or force an injured player to be called up, play them anyway and then just hand them back to the club after they have broken down. And also the need for friendlies in far away places that the player returns to his club a day before a club match.
I agree with eliminating useless friendlies, but players alos have commitments with Natioonal Competitions That being said I'd rather ACON was moved to a 4 year basis during the year directly after the Euros thus eliminating all club clashes and not clashing with the WC and the EUros
