Why are you quoting the delusions of a right wing christian organisation and the Daily Mail of all newspapers? Both are known for preaching hate and you actually believe them? There is absolutely NO area under control. Those FEW idiots that tried making no-go areas were dealt with by the police and rightly so. Can you not see that the police and security forces, as well as the LAW, is doing a fine job of ensuring extremists aren't able to threaten our way of life. And they will do the same with the 400 or 4000 that have gone over to Syria IF they've gone over to fight (which hasn't been proven). And are you honestly saying that 400 men (some of whom have gone out for humanitarian purposes but hey lets not let that get in the way of a good witch hunt) can threaten 65+ million people?

You noticed halal food in supermarkets? What does that mean? Is this a threat? Did you report this to MI5? Or to Tony Blair for his dossier on Iraq? I hate to break this to you, Tom, but I saw Kosher food in supermarkets about 30 years ago But guess what, we're all still alive and thankfully able to buy the food we want without fear of growing beards and having to wail at walls. I agree about the persecutors and the hate mongers who have come over need to be shipped out. We're singing from the same hymn book on that one. Ship 'em out, that's an easy solution. But what about the scaremongers and preachers of hate against race and religions that we have on threads like these who were born here? What do we do about them? I listen to some of the comments on here and I see no difference between them and the ignorant rants and xenophobic claptrap of Anjem Choudhary. Two sides of the same coin. How ironic.

Well we will just have to wait and see won't we. I'm getting tired. If every source of information out there has an agenda then please point me in the direction of a true source. Media no go. You have taken some of what I've said out of context as you painted this picture of me in your head. This is why I kept on asking you what is it you think I want.

The government have sanctioned the UAF, this is not a lie. I see them as extremists and dangerous. I believe they have a grand agenda. I may be wrong about this agenda but their methods are hateful. They appease radical Muslims, they want to silence anybody who speaks about them. The two websites I linked were only for the purpose of showing my dislike for the UAF. It's unfortunate some of the information and imagery were quite unsavoury. But in no way did that reflect my views.

Being called a racist all the time wanting to even speak about the radicals makes me angry. You attacked me for stating my disillusionment at migrant fishing. When we have caught them doing this despite them screaming racists at us they move away, no violence, no anger. I don't protest, I don't roam the streets looking for a fight, I try and debate these issues, without violence. There are extremists on both sides and I'm not one of them.

Yes being called a racist for standing up to what I see is oppression in the name of Multiculturalism is making me angry. I see many people being labelled as such and that makes me angry. I don't hate anyone, at the moment I do fear what what I see will happen. I could be misguided and the threat isn't really as bad as I thought. Talking in this thread the last few days, seeing counter points of view has seriously made me rethink this view.

Who is to blame. The government, they aren't addressing these issues and are just fuelling more hate and anger. The vote is working, I believe that democracy is winning. What I mean by like a man like me I mean someone who is disillusioned who would(not me) resort to violence. I am not an extremist. I like to discuss. You might not believe me but throughout all of this I have kept an open mind.

This has been one big massive miscommunication. Finish the job as in help stabilise the country. I thought the job was to go into Iraq dispose of Saddam Hussain and stay there while things calmed down and create a democratic system. I thought it was wrong to go in there, kill their leader and then leave them in chaos. The speaker wasn't angry because he thought I wanted them to massacre millions of people he was angry because he thought I thought the Iraqis were incapable of looking after themselves.

I've moaned for years about the millions of innocent people the west has killed throughout the years. It saddens me this is what you thought of me.

Well for what it's worth before I went to bed, I deleted all political groups from my facebook, deleted all my political links. These links were from extremists on both sides of the coin. I don't want to be on either. I've accepted I'm misguided on certain issues and I'm going to take a step back and do a bit of soul searching.

 

Hi Tom don't let the bigot Terror get to you, he's always been a big mouth on hear, he's incapable of real debate, what he states fly's in the face of the evidence of the recent UKIP results, which clearly demonstrate that you are far from alone in your concerns of this Immigration gone mad, and we haven't seen the last of this story yet, there is far more to come, the British people have had enough, and I see far tighter controls with our next Government in 2015!....................

If it's going to be closed then here are some comments from the Polygamy thread for everyone to make their own mind up whether there's a racist comment there.

It would be shame if the thread is closed before I have time to properly defend myself but it must be obvious to everyone by now that the OP did in fact post a racist comment, perhaps several.

Depends on a persons definition of what is Racism. For me I see a misguided generalisation based on a particular race that can offend. It's the same as the Welsh man shagging sheep generalisation. It's clear he is mistaken. Even if he said some black males or a minority of black males it would still seem Racist to some.

Racism in my eyes is persecution and hatred of a race and I see neither is his statements. Words can offend of course but that is all they are. It is clear he has seen some black males doing some things he disagrees with, this has obviously clouded his judgement. But he doesn't deserve the accusations that he is a racist for a few misguided comments.

Edit: OK no correlation with a racist statement and then being a racist. why does this thread exist.

What proof do you have for the UAF being government sponsored? A quick trawl around the internet reveals that the only people who have claimed this are the BNP and the English Defence League.
What I do find proof of is that both the far right and UAF seem to be treated equally as the government try to prevent race violence on our streets....

EDF marches in Bradford banned

A planned march by the English Defence League (EDF) through Bradford this weekend has been banned by the government.

A planned opposition march by Unite Against Fascism (UFA) has also been banned.

The EDF, which claims to be anti-Islamist but it seen by many to be anti-Muslim, had planned to march through the town, which has a 30% Muslim population.

The plans caused uproar among residents, and a 10,000 signature petition was handed in.

West Yorkshire Police also acted to contact Bradford City Council to recommend against the march, and Bradford City Council then applied to the government to stop it. Theresa May at the Home Office officially sanctioned the ban earlier today.

While both the EDF and UAF are banned from marching through the streets of Bradford, they are still allowed to gather in protest in separate areas, in a move seen as an attempt to balance the right to demonstrate against the potential for public disturbance if the marches had both gone ahead as planned.

The EDF has become a controversial organisation, formed after the 9/11 attacks in the US, it claims to demonstrate against extremism in Islam. However, to many the EDF is simply seen as a nationalist front against Muslims in general.

Previous marches by the EDF elsewhere in the UK have led to clashes.

While the marches are banned for the weekend, the EDF have suggested they may re-reschedule their plans.

It seems to me you've been looking for an ideology that has all the answers when in fact no ideology (whether it be a political one or religious faith) gives someone a balanced view of the World and all the answers. Nobody has copyright on the truth....least of all me.
I mocked you for "educating yourself" because the material and the arguments you presented here were all from the far right...but if you were to take your enthusiasm and your zeal and apply it to properly educating yourself. Looking at history and politics from many different perspectives (but try to avoid the far right, the far left and extremist religious types as their arguments tend to be black and white....and therefore silly) and you will have a better understanding of the World in my opinion.

Perhaps Valley, as a historian, would be better placed to recommend you some books? (I'm not telling you what to think)

I'm pleased you state that you will try and reevaluate your thoughts on such issues and am especially relieved to hear that you got rid of the extremists from both sides on your social media. I feel that, if this is true, we haven't totally wasted our time in a massive pissing contest these last few days.


For my part, if I misunderstood and misrepresented the views you expressed at that SWP meeting, I apologise.

If the statement wasn't racist then why did he apologise?

 

So how can someone post a racist comment and not be a racist. Surely if one was to make a comment that would be deemed racist, would mean they hold racist beliefs so would be deemed racist.

So your saying that Vetch posted a racist comment, but is not racist? How do you come to that conclusion?
