Do I laugh or cry? Two points dropped or one gained? This is going to be a very, very tight división this year. I expect Sunderland to eventually gain pole position and pull away from the rest, but there is likely to be a narrow points spread from 2nd down to 8th or 10th. I feel 83 could secure 2nd place, while 72 would miss out on a play-off place.

    Thanks Wooperts!!

It would be interesting to compare the actual cost of Pompey´s 2018-2019 squad with the one that got promotion in 1982/83. Webb, 80k, Rafferty 60k, Doyle 60k, Dillon 200k, Morgan ?, Biley 100k. Probably more than the current one. The 1982/83 squad was a "galitcos" for that league.

A quick calculation, and an approx. figure of £400,000 comes to mind, Ides.

So in actual and real terms the present day PFC squad has cost far less to assemble. Probably on similar wages as those guys back in 82/83!!
