we had an idea of what Accrington could do to us in the last game, a combination of awful defending and having yet another poor sluggish first half, town were very lucky to not be at least three nil down at half time. towns defence were pulled all over the place. for 30 minutes were outplayed and out thought. in the second half with a mountain to climb town finally turned up The last four games town have conceded 6 goals from a combination of defensive and goalkeeping errors if we are to stay up town have to sort out the defence that leaks like a sieve ,cut out the sloppy defending, start doing the basics right and get some points on there travels yet again Ferjiri gets virtually no supply all long balls, consistency , sloppy defending and failing to play for 90 minutes continues to be an issue https://www.shropshirestar.com/spor...rewsbury-town-were-out-worked-and-out-fought/ a fair review by the manager
It does not look like at the moment we can put in the work rate necessary to get results away on a consistent basis (though we did seem to manage it at Sunderland). This puts a lot of pressure on our home games and we do need a rejigging of the squad starting this week (I see Colkettt has already departed). I think a decent cup run and a lower/mid table finish would be reasonable after so much disruption. You can only really start to judge a new manger's worth after a couple of transfer window. Lets just hope we dont get sucked into the relegation battle as I can see a couple of the teams down there having the capability to improve and go on a good run like Bristol are doing now.
we are only five points clear of a relegation place and equally only five points away from a tenth position, we must improve our defence and cut down on the sloppy defending and we badly need to be more consistent
