No matter what the team is, tell 'em this is their destiny. This is their one chance to savour glory with Hull City and the fans, they might never be in this situation again in their careers!!!!!
hate to agree with Swanny.... but id go with Fryatt & Proschwitz against Bristol. after all this probably would have been our main striker partnership this season if fryatt stayed fit (and prozzy found his form). we've said for a while that fryatt needs someone to play off, a "big" man.... could work wonders. fryatt has goals in him.. his stats are very clear, almost a goal in every other game throughout his career.
I've no doubt that Proschwitz was brought in to partner Fryatt as our first choice strike partnership, but it simply wasn't to be. Fryatt has been out all season and looks more than a little nervous and Proschwitz has just looked a bit cack. Much as I'm sure Brucey would love it to all come together in the last few games, I don't think he will take that big a risk and he'll stick with what got us to second in the first place.
I was in a hotel in Southport a couple of weeks ago and the lifts had the name Schindler on them, which I thought was very appropriate!
I certainly hope so. Fryatt's going to be on the bench anyway and I'm more confident of him coming on at home, than I have been seeing him coming on away from home. He looks nervous at the moment, I suspect he'll be a little less nervous coming on at home, but I still wouldn't start him.
I asked on another thread and got no answer, what actually happened with Koren and how long's he out for? I noticed him limping off and the physio went straight to see to his ankle as soon as he sat down, but I've not seen anything about what he's actually done...
Calf injury according to the story I saw saying he was going to miss tomorrow night's game. Just a muscle pull or a strain or something though from the sound (rather than a tear).
Oh right, looked like the physio was messing about with his ankle. Guess it was the opposite side of the pitch...
I feel for prozzy... i really wanted him to do well and i really don't think he has a future anymore... the chance is gone. My problem is we seem to have a knack for problem strikers... injured ones (fryatt for exampl), trouble makers (king) or play simply **** at what they do (mclean, simpson, proschwitz, altidore)... It'd be nice to spent 1 or 2 million on someone that has a really good impact. Tbf , i bet proschwitz will leave and bang them for fun again like he did before us... wonder why strikers struggle so much here.
Am I missing something, I don't see any mention of McLean? I don't think you can really include Fryatt in that. He was our top scorer for two seasons running before he got injured. I'm not sure getting a serious injury in his third season with us means he didn't make a really good impact or would classify him as a problem striker for injuries. We have had a lot of **** up front in recent times though, and even when we've had good strikers we still haven't managed to have one score 20 goals in a season since before Mark Hateley was manager, and we've been promoted 3 (nearly 4) times in that spell. (Elliott was a left winger in all but about 5 games when he did it)
In the video that plays automatically next to the article... bruce is interviewed talking about tonight's game and mclean (unless im blind) is filmed having a shot... could they have spliced different training sessions together?
Possibly, I can't see it to check though as my ad blocker stops the video from appearing. I'd forgotten about the HDM site doing that until you just said about it.
I've looked again and it's definitely him, he slides in jokingly at the start when they're sprinting and then has a shot later on... It looks like it was all taken from the same training session but paul mckenna is also there... Otherwise it means the footage of them training is old and they've spliced it with a Bruce interview about tonight's game.
