What you actually mean is 'th' is pronounced as an F by some people. The same as 'ph'. The letters T and P, when appearing without the added H, are not pronounced as an F. I wouldn't say 'the leffers T and P' for example, would I? Most American accents, however, would pronounce it as 'ledders'.
We Will win all 6 games at the beginning of this season. English is the most descriptive language in the world. How many ways can the suffix 'ough' be pronounced? No other language has that degree of versatility. Sorry Bluff, but the Yanks bastardised it Lieutenant. We say Leff-ten-ant and you say Loo-ten-ant, let's sort the whole thing out. PS Not usually on here on a Saturday, but I'm preparing to witness us t..tting Valencia from my viewpoint on The Kop (first time with seats!) Block 304, row 76, seat 126. Can't wait, and I've got a ticket sorted for Sunderland!
Take 11 points from the first 6. three hard away games out the way, points in the bag..thank you very much
