It is good news PNP. I like the way the man goes about his business. Most importantly, by staying with us, means stability in an area of the club where stability is vital. Equally importantly, he "sings from the same hymn sheet" as Pochettino.

More importantly, it's yet another example of Man Utd being given this long-overdue gesture...

They've got Butt leading their youngsters now, though. Wait, that sounds a bit wrong...

Marcus Edwards really is a bit special, isn't he? I remember saying similar about Onomah not so long ago but having seen the odd glimpse of Edwards, I think he may well be one of the most (if not the most) exciting attacking players to possibly ever come through the youth team, still early doors of course but he looks like a superstar in the making, dare I say this as the comparison is used a fair bit with inside forwards/ attacking midfielders but he seems very Messi-esque. Him and Sterling seem to be the real standouts of this current U-18s crop I'd say. Very exciting.

There were reports saying Barca were sniffing around Edwards back in the summer.

Yeah I remember that, it's understandable they're interested judging from the bits I've seen of the kid.

I hope somebody tells Barca to **** off on the grounds that we're very comfortable hating Real and would rather not complicate that by having to hate them as well.

Tottenham and Barcelona are set to compete in a revived NextGen Series for under-19 teams in Amsterdam in May.

A three-day tournament will take place at the Olympic Stadium in the Dutch city on May 14-16, with other participants including Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Galatasaray, and Ajax Cape Town. The final two participants have yet to be announced.

Congratulations to all at the club involved in getting u to the point where we are invited to compete in this competition.

More like the old Nextgen final stage play-offs.

We have been at this point since the original Nextgen.
And with the academy/youth talent now coming into the seniors, we are more like Sporting Lisbon
    were back then.

Timmy is gone, and Bentaleb appears to be out of favour. :)

We should've picked up the Nextgen ourselves when UEFA started pissing about with their U19 Champions League competition.
There were some massive sides that weren't in that who have very good academy teams.
The names alone would've made it worthwhile, let alone the experience for the youngsters.

Interesting debut for our U15s yesterday...

Yup, Maurizio is Poch's son - and for that matter, Paris Maghoma is the younger brother of Jacques and Christian.

I hope in 5 years time we can line up with:

    Walker
    Walker, Maghoma, Maghoma, Walker-Peters
    Pritchard, Dembele
    Sterling, Pritchard, Sterling
    Dembele

Although Ian Walker would have to come out of retirement, admittedly and Raheem might be a tough one to sign.

So that's why we're linked to at least two Dembeles this summer!
