Cheers Cottager. I do know what you mean about Abraham; he seemed quite moody if things weren't going well and it was noticeable that the other players were constantly reminding him to stay focuses, keep his cool, etc. If number 9 was a trialist I hope we take him on - there was certainly potential there, even if his finishing wasn't as good as it might have been today.
Fulham 2 Brighton 1 (U23s) More like it from the lads today. The 'pocket goal machine' Cameron Thompson got our first and that trusty left foot was definitely on form when Matt O'Riley hammered home the second from 25 yards. We fielded a pretty strong side but worth noting that two youngsters got game time - 15 year old Fabio Carvalho and 16 year old Sylvester Jasper. Indeed Jasper is having a jolly good pre-season all round. The team was: Norman (52’ L. Ashby-Hammond), Mundle-Smith, Atkinson, Opoku (58’ Jenz), Drameh, Edun (55’ O’Riley), Kait (70’ Carvalho), Thorsteinsson (70’ Jasper), Francois, Trialist (46’ Thompson), Woodrow (65’ Harris) [The Trialist was Bosnian 'wonderkid' Edis Smajić. The attacking midfielder currently plays for Sloboda Tuzla and got 7 goals for them last season.] Here's a link to our Club reporter's account: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2018/august/01/u23s-fulham-2-1-brighton
Here's a clip of Matt's thumpingly good goal - expand to full screen to see it in all it's glory properly
Fulham 8 Nottingham Forest 0 (U18s) Quite stunning by the youngsters. That man Harvey Elliot got a first half hat trick, our striker (Trialist C) a double, Timmy Abraham (who replaced him on the 70th minute) one and another trialist (Trialist B) who came on at the same time whacked in two. The team was: Wickens, Amekortu (70’ Frei), Trailist A, Armsworth, McAvoy (D’Henry, Davis (70’ Page), Hilton (46’ Antwi), Carvalho (60’ Trialist C), Jasper (29’ Tahir), Trialist B (70’ Abraham), Elliott (60’ O’Neil) Link to our Club reporter's account: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2018/august/04/u18s-fulham-8-0-nottingham-forest
