Yeah great idea. Sell a creative yet flawed genius and a top notch striker so that we can start the search for exactly the same all over again.... Why we can't harness the talents we already employ is beyond me. Granted if we don't go up I can't see why Adel Remy Granero Mbia Cesar and a host of others like Hoilett and possibly Austin would want to stay in the Championship with us but if by some miracle we do go up then we should be looking to retain and get the best out of many of these players
Do you honestly believe even if we went up that Taarabt would pick to stay with us over joining AC Milan? Also Remy will have a whole host of suitors, it's unrealistic to expect him to play for us next season. We should be concentrating on getting as much money for them as possible. Mbia, Granero and Cesar shouldn't even be discussed. They're history, no questions asked. We should use the money to build a young hungry squad with signings similar to Austin and Matt Phillips who both have points to prove and desire to play at the highest level.
We would have been within our rights to say right "you can go but someone's got to pay for you, no loan deal, we want £8-£10m", no one would have paid that back in August and it would have been far enough for him to stay. Therefore all Arry had to do was say your my main man this year like Warnock did (then changed after we got up to his cost) and we would be a lot better off than we are now. Arry was mugging him off in mid December "Adel's at Fulham. They're in trouble and Adel's not playing, and that must be disappointing" "Maybe he's got to find himself another club. Whether we take him back or not is debatable. "Would he get the message back here at QPR? He went to Fulham and I don't know if he got the message there." http://www1.skysports.com/football/...to-welcome-back-adel-taarabt-from-fulham-loan Now its Adel performances in Milan that are mugging Harry off
Don't forget, the clueless twat of a manager wanted him back instead of going to Milan. Funny that, he slags him off when he can't get into the Fulham team but its not redknapps fault when he's tearing it up elsewhere.
We would have been well within our rights mate, thats for sure, but it was plain for everyone to see (even from Aus) that He didnt want to be with us anymore. No-one would have paid that fee so we'd have been left with a sulking player who didnt want to play for us. Harry & the squad were never going to put up with what Warnock did 7 if you believe any of COLIN's book, then half the team were furious with him. Now as bad as Granero, SWP, Mbia, Cesar all are. Everyone of them has achieverd more in thier (stolen ) careers than Adel. There is no way those players were going to bow down to pandering to him & his strops, so i think Harry making "the main man" is a pipe dream IF he had stayed and dropped into the NPC with us to rebuild a (decimated) reputation for himself, then maybe we could have got away with it. Simple facts are, he (for what ever reason) didnt want to be with us/Harry/ JB or what ever. No one was going to pay more than 2 MIll for him at the start of this season So choices are, Keep a disinterested player with mood swings worse than a teenage girl, in and around the dressing room or Get him (and others) out and try and rebuild some sort of team spirit within the dressing room that may at least give us a fighting chance...? I personally think they had no choice but to let him go. rightly or wrongly. As for the "Harry wants him back". I do not believe that for one second. Absolute bull from Harry if he said that. I think Adels time is finally over with us & he's proving people wrong in a league that suits his style surrounded by good player. Good luck to him Now Milan...."Show me the MONEY !!"
Italian football is something else. Even the refs look hot: http://milano.repubblica.it/cronaca/2014/02/26/foto/arbitro-79667706/1/?ref=HRESS-22#1
