I think we will draw against United and beat Chelsea.

The thing I hate most about Barcelona is not just the diving but the play acting. They pretend they have been smashed in the face and fall down and roll about until the player has been carded. It is despicable, I can take a bit of diving, just going down easy, because sadly is is now part of the modern game, but what Barcelona do is way way past that and they purposely try to get other players sent off. It also really annoys me how they constantly surround the ref all the time.

This comment from that video sums it up for me: "Mes que un club, un teatro."

    Like 99% of teams then?

Makes me laugh the fact everyone seems to ignore when teams dive against Barcelona.
Barcelona players seemed to dive a hell of a lot in the el classico's last season because of Mourinho's "kick the **** out of anything that moves" tactics. If you watch them a lot in La Liga, they don't dive much at all (bar Mascherano, Busquets, Alves). Gerrard and Cronaldo are much worse then anyone in the Barce squad.

Maybe i'm not in a position to properly judge then, having only watched them in the bigger games, but what left an impression on me is the bias towards them and the fact they still end up diving. The performance (albeit of the referee above all) against Chelsea in the Champions League where Barca got away with 4 pens (see the above video) was disgraceful.

Each to their own though, it's fair to say other teams are worse, but i generally feel that teams like Barcelona, having so much technical ability, shouldn't have to resort to diving and intimidating the ref.

I don't like seeing the diving, I hate it, Jonas seems to knocked a bit of it out of his game, which is good. Pissed me off every time he went down very easily.
I can definitely see why Barce do it sometimes(hate it mind), considering getting kicked all over the pitch is a piss take which Madrid got away with a lot. No one seems to like mentioning Madrids kicking anything that moves tactics and their own diving.

Random clip, but makes me laugh how much Mourinho is a hypocrite.

Barton, Nolan did that constantly last season, many English clubs do it as well, mainly Manchester United.

Thats the thing though, they seem to play act alot more in the bigger games, maybe they feel they need to get an extra edge over a tight game. I get the impression that some players like Alves and Busquests feel they are too good to be tackled so any tackle must be illegal as how can some one dispossess some one with the quality of Alves(tongue in cheek)...

They are not role models, in this country you'd just be a laughing stock, one of my mates tried to dive in a game once, and everyone just started laughing at him and he was eventually subbed to save face!! Thats how it should be..

Gerrard isn't a laughing stock, he is a king of diving. Many other English players dive, commentators/pundits rarely seem to condemn it and just put it to 'clever play'.
