2-0 at half time, not quite sure I can believe it. Weve played well too. lets have a great second half and lift some of this doom and gloom. I will say, however, I cant believe how poor this Milan side are - especially comparing them to some of the great sides of the past. We constantly compare our squad to the invincibles, but Milan look pretty far off from many of their past squads. It truly is battle of the has-beens.
That is SO much better. That's the Arsenal we all know and has been missing for so long. We are moving forward and back as a team and getting into defensive positions when we don't have the ball. More direct going forward and getting plenty of players in the box. We're communicating better and it shows. Well deserved 0-2 lead at HT and could easily have been more. More of the same please
Have to keep up that level of performance in the second half because Milan will play better for sure.
Was actually one of the best halves we've played this Season. Thought Wilshere and Mkhi were always dangerous. Ramsey has played well and Chambers is looking good as a RB.
Played really well so far. Mkhi and Kolasinac destroyed the RB over and over. Ozil and Wilshere looking good. Chambers has been really good in the air but his positioning is suspect and I worry about him defensively. If they get a chance it'll be down to him I reckon. Had a good shot though. Ospina got lucky at one point. Needs to stay focused. Wilshere works so much better with Ozil and Mkhi than Iwobi does. Could have had a goal or two more. But 2-0 at half time in the away leg is a great position to be in. More of the same second half and we could have this tie dealt with tonight.
Well pluck a duck....who would have guessed that first half script. But as White Gunner has said, Milan very poor and have given us far too much space, No closing down...not complaining though. First 20 mins of the 2nd half could be very defining in this tie. COYG!!
Milan are at home and will come out to try and score in the 2nd half, which could leave the door open for us to get a 3rd
Whenever I think of the San Siro my mind goes back to THAT Thierry Henry performance against Inter in the Champions League.
Next goal is important, If we score it - the tie is basically won. If they score it.. they are back in with a chance.
