Would you not think the mods would learn after the 4th or 5th time? Anyway, I see Hall and Diouf as two completely different cases, right now you can view Hall as a young guy who made a pretty ****ing stupid mistake, if he had been keeping this up for over 10 years like Diouf has I'd obviously feel differently. I don't see it as hypocrisy to treat two different cases as exactly that. I've been out since my last post on that thread so closing it was nothing to do with me, I'm sure elland had his reasons. I'd say we're probably the least power mad group of mods on Not606, I can only think of two people who have been banned while I've been a mod and they were both non-Leeds supporting WUMs, one of whom keeps trying to come back under slightly different names. It can be very difficult deciding what to do with certain things and it's hardly an exact science, often if you feel a thread is heading to a bad place (once again, this time was nothing to do with me) it's better to close it than let things go too far.
Hey peeps, Reason why I deleted the thread was because it was going only in one direction (and we're not talking Harry Stiles). Knowing how passionate Liw can get and the aggressive nature the conversation was going, I thought the sensible thing to do was to just delete, and diffuse the situation.
I for one think the mods here do a great job and the tone of this board is WAY better than JA606. We can have a conversation here with totally different viewpoints and it almost never gets personal or nasty. Helps when you have people who want a genuine exchange of ideas and thoughts instead of those who just belittle others and trivialize their opinions.
OLOF Leeds60 started a thread this afternoon about the fact we might be in for Ryan Hall from Southend, Simon posted that it'd be a great signing. Hall was recently jailed for affray and was found to be in possession of an offensive weapon. Now if he's a decent player it doesn't bother me if he becomes a Leeds player, but holier than thou Simon slates Diouf all the time and yet defends Ryan Hall. That's why he's a hypocrite. Anyway the threads been deleted because he was making himself look a right muppet.
