Liv has been very patchy lately, not that good at Brum. Trippier excellent in semi final. Dubs has been excellent lately and is streets ahead of Pope with his feet.
It's beginning to look like the other clubs were just tired over the Christmas period. It was going well and now we're being defeated regularly. Oh well.
And today shows why we are unlikely to catch up. Man City in poor form and drop from 1st to 5th place. No worries, £168M spunked in the winter window £68M on one player. Newcastle - yeah we sold two players so we are okay with PSR. City - we arent having these **** rules - lets tie the PL up in litigation. Newcastle - we play nice. Dont get me wrong - we are making progress but its slow and it only needs RM or the like to come in for Isak and Gordon/Bruno/Tonali, and we get lots of money but we are back 2-3 years
Aimed at the players rather than Howe. Badly let down by an abysmal attitude. This is the problem with a small squad.
We need to see how we get on vs forest. It's easy to forget this is man City. Behind the hyperbole is the best squad in the world.
I just looked this up earlier. As of February 2025, the market value of Manchester City's squad is estimated to be €1.30 billion. As of February 2025, Newcastle United's squad has a market value of €606 million, according to Transfermarkt. We will get there. One day. Today just isn't that day.
I was just looking at their bench and every one of their players would improve our first 11. Scary how many players they have that are world class. It’s just the manner. But hey I’m relaxed about it. Wonder if it would be better for us not to be in Europe again. Would mean we could spend big in the summer.
The spent their way out of the situation in January and I did worry we were facing an unknown force. They'll probably keep winning and winning again now.
