Only the cars between Lewis and Max let through before the race restarted. Sorry but the FIA would have known that would give Max the win. For me that's dodgy as ****.
He did over verstappen last race. He should be sacked. This is going to court. In the end hamilton gains an unfair advantage on lap one and is let off (he clearly turns to go and cut the corner even more ) then masi pulls this one where only 5 cars who are between verstappen and hamilton are moved.out of way. Tjats disgraceful. Verstappen was treated like **** the race before. Overall it's great entertainment for me cos I couldnt care less who wins. But that's not fair sport.
I would have been delighted for Max if he had got past the back markers and caught Hamilton. He has a lot to learn as a driver but his speed can be out of this world. However, they have thrown the rule book out of the window on that restart and all but given him the title. I actually believe he could have caught Lewis within the rules if he had been given the chance.

This might go to court for Masi not following procedures and allowing all lapped cars to overtake the safety car and only allowing just some for Max to be behind Lewis on brand new softs.
What's done is done, Max is champ. The longer after the race this gets the more I feel for Max. All that hard work, all those excellent drives, your first world champion... and its utterly tainted.
It's great for Verstappen fans but really bad for motorsport and F1. He could have won it without interference but they engineered things for entertainment instead of sport.
as Verstappen was behind Lewis and with lapped caps between him and Lewis, would Masi have done what he did if Lewis had come in for new softs and given up track position to be behind Max?
I also find it funny the decision was lapped cars not allowed through and suddenly Horner is complaining on the radio so suddenly cars between Lewis and Max let through and the race then restarts. Absolutely disgraceful. I don't think taking it to court will change anything, it never does but that's just wrong on so many levels. Even George Russell called them out on Twitter.
I'd hate to see it go to court. Like you say, what is done is done, but you are correct. They have forever tainted things for Max's first championship through utter incompetence. In the long term they have damaged the sport - not for the first time this season.
I think we should have a rebrand as f1 raw or smackdown or something cos then we could all agree that the heel has to win sometimes but the face will have to overcome.
