What's taking FOM so long with the race edits these days? Normally by yesterday they would have gotten the videos of lap and the race up, but atm they haven't even got the onboard lap up for India (and that seems to get put up a few days before the race edit).
Incidentally, does anyone know what the record is for the most amount of seasons passed between 2 WDC's for a driver? That may well be a record Hamilton ends up taking lol
Technically Lauda, 1977 - 1984, but he wasn't racing for 2 of those seasons! Graham Hill also matches Brabham with 1962 and 1968.
An excellent qualifying lap and perfection from him in the race gives Hamilton a 9? What more could he have done? Vettel - Being outqualified by his teammate and those two moments of stupidity took away from what was otherwise a brilliant drive. So I would have given him an 8. A bad start and a noob error is worthy of a 7 for Rosberg? di Resta also does not deserve a 7 I don't know what Button did to deserve an 8 - McLaren were by far the quickest and JB was nowhere. What did Alonso do wrong to get an 8? What a disgrace to give him the same rating as Button.
AMuS ratings Kimi Räikkönen: Note 10/10 Fernando Alonso: Note 9/10 Sebastian Vettel: Note 9/10 Jenson Button: Note 8/10 Pastor Maldonado: Note 9/10 Kamui Kobayashi: Note 8/10 Felipe Massa: Note 7/10 Bruno Senna: Note 7/10 Paul di Resta: Note 7/10 Daniel Ricciardo: Note 6/10 Michael Schumacher: Note 7/10 Jean-Eric Vergne: Note 4/10 Heikki Kovalainen: Note 8/10 Timo Glock: Note 6/10 Sergio Perez: Note 6/10 Vitaly Petrov: Note 4/10 Pedro de la Rosa: Note 5/10 Charles Pic: Note 5/10 Romain Grosjean: Note 5/10 Mark Webber: Note 3/10 Lewis Hamilton: Note 10/10 Narain Karthikeyan: Note 4/10 Nico Rosberg: Note 6/10 Nico Hülkenberg: Note 6/10
Can Argue with that.. Does appear that the boys over at Autosport were frequenting the Shesha bars! IMHO, 10 is when the driver claims pole, takes the fastest lap, destroys the field, with that in mind, no one gets a 10 for Abu Dhabi 9’s for Kimi, Vettel, Hamilton, 8’s for Maldonado, Alonso 7’s for Ricciardo, Kobayashi, Senna, Kovalainen, Glock, Grosjean 6’s for Petrov , Button, Rosberg, Di Resta, Pic, De La Rosa, Karthikeyan, Vergne, Hulk, Schumi, Massa 5 for Webber, and generous 4 for Perez
Alonso has had a car setup just like what Seb did at Abu Dhabi all year. That car isn't bad, they just only have it setup for race pace that's why he always makes places. They don't bother trying to get high in qualifying, they use high top speed to get him through the field + DRS all through the race. They also pray for SC's bunching them back with the leaders so their rivals are a sitting ducks and when they get past it's impossible to stop them or to get past them again since they have stupidly high top speed. It's not the car, it's a strategy by Ferrari for him being that low in qualifying and I cant believe I didn't notice it sooner!
It's only the last two races and Spa where they've set-up both cars to be fast in a straight line. It was only at Silverstone, Hungary, Spa and India that Alonso was in the top five in the speed traps. He was 16th fastest in Valencia. Alonso is generally better in the races and the F2012 seems more balanced on Sundays - that's why he makes up places. Ferrari speed trap: Australia - 17th and 18th Malaysia - 17th and 18th China - 17th and 18th Bahrain - 15th and 16th Spain - 12th and 13th Monaco -13th and 16th Europe - 11th and 16th Britain (rain) - 2nd and 11th Germany (rain) - 4th and 8th Hungary - 3rd and 12th Belgium - 3rd and 4th Italy - 12th and 13th Singapore - 6th and 12th Japan - 6th and 11th Korea - 8th and 9th India - 2nd and 5th Abu Dhabi - 4th and 7th Alonso's performance in Abu Dhabi was not down the car or the set-up (7th fastest in the speed trap), it was down to the driver: Domenicali: "Yet another great race from Fernando in what is an amazing season for him. Todayâs second place came about mainly because of his ability to get the most and maybe even a bit more than that out of what we gave him to work with." Fry: "Once again, Fernando delivered an amazing performance, getting everything he could out of the car, both in qualifying and in the race."
Cheers for the links Forza, but I want them compared with these teams: (Lotus, McLaren, RBR) since they are the ones they have fought with all season. Not Williams, Toro Rosso, Mercedes etc...
Has anyone noticed that Ferrari have had 0 fastest laps this year? The only other teams to do that are Toro Rosso and the 3 **** teams. They now have **** race pace too! (jk)
