firstly id like to say I was wrong about Charlie Adam, I thought he was superb yesterday and was my man of the match, saying that I thought that every single player worked their balls off and we looked a much better team without Nzonzi, and posed a big threat when we went forwards. It was an amazing atmosphere and that win will hopefully give us the lift we needed to push on and move on towards safety. Well done to each and every stoke supporter who went yesterday, I havent seen the brit like that for a long time. Up the potters!!!!! I know its only one game but on that showing I dont think we will be leaving the premiership Ive got a massive hangover
I agree - gave me goosebumps again listening to the fans sing. I really liked it when, after the final whistle, the celebrations of the players were not over the top; congratulations all round but no leaping like we had won a cup or something. Made me think we had gone into the game believing we can win and just lived up to that expectation. Yay for Charlie Adam - never stopped and seemed to keep on top of the game throughout.
Loving the fact that at last we can give some back to all the United glory hunters! United fans on facebook blaming the weather. They didn't blame it a few weeks ago when it was high winds and a hailstorm!!! Well done City!!!!
Well said Ric it was amazing in every way. I'm yet to watch MOTD went to a wedding last night... some saying. That PRICK Hanson said "The wind helped Stoke and Adam's 2nd goal was lucky" What the hell? BOTH team had the winds at their backs 45 mins apiece! Typical of him will be watching a re run of it later. Adam was brilliant, nothing lucky about the 2nd gaol at all Hanson, you're just an idiot.
Charlie Adams was brilliant, his second goal was a great strike, and our goalie made a great save of Shrek at the end, and all the defenders put there bodys on the line to get it away. I agree with Ric, keep Nzonzi out of the team.
Hansen did say the second goal had an element of luck about it. May be because Arnie's touch was a bit heavy and the ball ran loose to Adam, but lucky?.... my arse. He walloped it. Moyes is also saying United were unlucky, claiming the first goal was a result of a wicked deflection.... they all count and if I remember right, Liverpool's first at the Brit was also a 'wicked' deflection. Why are we not given credit when it is due?
I am recovered after the long day yesterday and very pleased with the result. 3 points took us up 7 places and we must continue to be as hard working as that. Having spoken to a couple of guys who went to Sunderland, I am told that we murdered them on Wednesday with 10 men and that it was our best away performance. Problem was no goals. However we made up for it yesterday and it was a thunderous game. I am pleased to see that some are eating humble pie with regard to Charlie Adam. Having met him and heard him talk after the death of his father it was obvious he was still suffering and hurting even more when he was not playing. Hughes has looked after him and sees the asset he has been given. So let us hope he keeps his discipline on the pitch and scores a few more before the season ends. On a separate note I thought that Walters was lucky to stay on the field after his tackle right in front of the Boothen End. He hurt himself and if he had been sent off he would not have helped his team. I only saw the tackle the once so if I am wrong shout! Driving the bus back last night, it was indeed a happy and lively group.
When Arnie skinned Rooney I nearly we myself, the look on Rooney's face. Then he did his best to catch him and couldn't. NOT shown on MOTD by the way. I wonder why.
