A lot has been said about 'old friends' returning lately, and there are quite a few that we'd love to see back . . . . like Smug, Cest & Bri. who would all make a valuable contribution, like they used to (there will be more, but I can't think of them at the moment <sorry> and that's not as important as the content) :emoticon-0100-smile

Anyhoo, a few of us have ''had a word' with some, and there's a chance of a Rover's Return or two, we hope <cheers>

I haven't seen anything, though, about us wanting to see Safc83 back (unless I've missed it) and I'm wondering about what you/we all think :emoticon-0112-wonde

He did go 'over the top' as most of us know, because of provocation that turned out to be the straw that broke this camel's back, but should I ask him if he fancies returning to the fold . . . . I'd certainly like to see his ugly face back on here :emoticon-0105-wink:

Alternative thinking might be that he's not welcome to come back, by those that banned him or 'us' generally, and I don't know who could/would decide, but it takes two to tango and his being banned wasn't all his fault (as most of us know) :emoticon-0138-think

I haven't asked him, 'cos I said that I wouldn't a few weeks ago, but he's 'in a much better place' now and I really believe that he'd like to return, and his contributions would be very welcome like they used to be :emoticon-0100-smile

Could his ban have ran it's course (it's been longer than a ban for drug abuse now, hasn't it) . . . . what's the consensus and what needs to be done, if anything (mods) :huh:

Said it before Gordon. I`ve had a drink with `83 and I reckon he`s a smashing lad. I know he went way overboard and, more importantly so does he. I would back him with the supermods if he wanted to return.

Best behaviour mind.

Theres loads i miss on here. My dad being another one that hasnt been mentioned aswell as Mackemsrule. This site annoys me at times and its sometimes a good idea to avoid it at times but its a internet forum at the end of the day. Were all random names swapping words with eachother. I dont see the point in why people leave this site permanantly. Were all Safc fans at the end of tbe day!

I didn't mention your dad because I don't think he would want me to...I have been in touch with him today though and he seems in good spirits..

I can't say that I know about the full picture regarding his ban/leaving so can't really comment on that.

That said, he was/is/can be a very valuable contributor to this forum and I know his opinions and points of view were well respected by many more than myself.

I for one, have no objections whatsoever. :emoticon-0148-yes::emoticon-0148-yes:

The more the merrier on here - sometimes one of us may go ott but ffs that can depend on circumstances outside the forum or p**sed up. Maybe the answer is to have a "time out" instead of a ban - say a month to sort yourself out and then after that a longer ban if it doesn't improve.

83 ,Bri and Smug are top posters who i hope to see back asap. Ive met Bri on quite a few occasions and hes a top lad. Ive also met Smug whos sound as a pound and i hope to meet 83 next season.

Gordon we chatted about this about a month ago on here, I spoke specifically to a megamod or ubergrass or whatever they're called and as far as he was concerned the return of 83 has already been approved by the mods, it was just down to him to come back in his own time.

I spoke to you about it and you said he's not missing the board so won't be coming back...yet.

Bring him back if you can because he's a good lad and a brilliant poster.

One of many who would be welcome back.

I can't think of any I'd not want back come to think of it, just one who I wouldn't mind ****ing off for good but you can't win em all.
 
So I should ask him to come back, then, seems to be the unanimous verdict :emoticon-0100-smile

It's no good if he's still banned, though, so can I ask for confirmation of him having 'served his time' so that I can ask him :huh:

I hope that Tel's right, and his return has already been approved (I can't remember you saying so, Tel <sorry>) . . . . please let me know (mods) :emoticon-0105-wink:

I don't post much so really shouldn't have much say, but I would certainly like to see him back.

As far as I'm concerned it'd be great to have him back, as well as the other well known posters who have left. It's a more interesting place with a big mix of characters and it's happy days for the club so it's a shame not to have them around to enjoy it together.
