I think Cirans point is... if it is develolped enough to diagnose disabilities, then is is developed enough to call human?

It could be fully developed for all I care. Euthenasia should be a legal option when quality of life approaches zero. If that is detected in the womb then abortion should be a legal option.

A bunch of religiously backward twats in frocks and daft hats should not be able to deny that option.

Why do you keep mentioning religion?

Pud agrees with me even though he is too ****ey to say so.

I think you'll find he's playing devil's advocate. Possibly in dev's absence. Where is the old stoner anyway? Out looking for Maddie again after this week's new revelations?

<laugh> I was just gonny back away slowly!

There must be a line where a foetus stops being "a bunch of cells" and becomes "human".

When it crosses this line, then you need to treat them in different ways. I believe this "line" occurs whilts still in the Mothers womb.

However, this "debate" re a foetus with severe disablities is different from a 2 year old becoming severly disabled.

Have I used " " enough?

You really didny read your own OP did you?

The woman with the severely disabled foetuses is being denied an abortion because....?

<laugh>

FFS, a lot of policy in Ireland is partly dictated by religion. Abortion law in particular. Of course religion is relevant to the argument.

You don't have kids, neither does Stereo, or Toby...

Funny that.

Well, me being their dad wasn't much cop for them so I had them euthenised.

(and who says I don't have any kids :bandit:)
