Here's a guy I thought was a goner, disappeared of the face of the planet for a couple of years. Wifey saw him this year at the O2 so glad to be wrong. Bit of a nerd but writes good and plays even better.
In loving memory - great memories of another age, lost friends and forgotten moments; bring a tear to my eyes, still, no regrets eh!. Huw Lloyd Langton, left Earth for the last time 5yrs ago today. Saw him many times in many guises, with his band, with a mix'n'mash, with Hawkwind, with Lemmy and I don't think I ever saw him when I wasn't floating off my tits I miss you Man Terrible Quality but I think this was Huw's last gig with Hawkwind Hope you finally found your planet
I ****in Love Hawkwind First riff I ever learned on guitar, Silver Machine, first proper band I saw live Hawkwind, Space Ritual Tour 1972, first time saw a girl kick-off proper dancing at the same gig (before then it was catholic socials and the school disco for me), first joint I ever smoked I was listening to Hawkwind, first tab I ever dropped I was watching Hawkwind, first band I took a date to, Hawkwind. I know they can blow hot and cold, amazing one minute, crap the next but they are my first love and I wouldn't want a life without them.
