Starting this thread to save the AFC mod (Psycho) from <wah> about puting in his prediction first.

Friday night football, not a fan of it to be honest but we have a must win game here tonight against bottom team Dundee who have allready taken points off us this season ( who has'nt ). We are sitting in 8th place in the league - 4 points off second bottom with two of the teams below us ---Ross County & hearts each have a game in hand which could leave us in 10th place (how **** are we) <steam>.

There is only seven games left before the split, meaning we will have to win at least four or five of them just to finish in the top six, somehow i dont see that happening. ( end of the road for Pa Broon ).:emoticon-0107-sweat

Score -- 6-0 or 0-6 nae sure.

Crowd -- 7950.

Oh God. I was forgetting all about the split. (I really don’t like it – I mean, what’s the point?) How on earth is it so quickly upon us?

Amazingly so. Relentlessly so. Even if the players ate jobby at half-time and the fans chomped away on deep-fried jobby in a pakora-style batter it still wouldn’t give full expression to our ****ness. The purity of our ****ness – the completeness of it – means that jobbies actually pray to us before hitting the porcelain and being flushed away to sea. We are everything they may once have aspired to be, the most perfect living example of ****e.

Prediction: Aberdeen 4 Dundee 1

Attendance prediction: to follow......

I’m going to do some “research” and come back with a stunningly accurate guess at the last minute (or thereabouts).

With a ****e atmosphere due to a ****e crowd & playing on a ****e ploughed park, having a ****e goalkeeper & ****e manager certainly makes for a ****e game.

I need a ****e, be back soon.

Don't flush, J-Rep. Save it for the half-time snacks.

If Jack & Naysmith are both fit, which is doubtful, I would go with:

------------Langfield (unfortunatly)---------

Jack --- Anderson --- Shaughnessy --- Naysmith

Hayes --- Osbourne --- Rae --- Pawlett

----- McGinn ---- Vernon ----

Joking aside, with this team we should be rampant tonight but knowing Broon he will play a 4-5-1 leaving McGinn to try and do it all on his own again with limited service.

Average Aberdeen attendance this season = 10, 247.

Last time Aberdeen met Dundee at Pittodrie, attendance = 10,425.

Last time Aberdeen met Dundee at Pittodrie they (Aberdeen) were 3rd in the league and still in both cups.

This time Aberdeen are in 8th position and out of both cups.

Disillusion and suffocating boredom = 4,000 less fans than last time.

4,000 less fans than last time = 6,425

Friday night novelty factor = inbetween 600 to 1,000 more fans

6,425 + 800 = 7,225

Likelihood of bad weather = 200 less fans = 7,025.

1 person will fall ill on their way to the ground.

Final attendance prediction = 7,024.

Flawless.

Edit: I'm just going to say that my instinctive guess, without the expert arithmetic, was 8,030. If this is the actual attendance tonight, I'll feel bereft.

Just wasted two precious hours drinking time watching that **** on a friday night.

Right.

Attendance: 7841

If I’d gone with my instinct (8030), I would have moved up to 4th place and been a credible 189 shy of perfection. But no.

There is a fierce battle at the top, however, where Johnny Rep strikes straight back and dislodges Pud from 2nd place and reclaims the position he held but a week ago.

And coming straight into the charts at number eleven, Toiler relegates Edge from the league and dumps Tina to the bottom of the (elite) pile. This is a significant improvement on his (Toiler’s) last prediction, which saw him miss the mark by – roughly – 23,000 or so. A dark horse emerges.

Cartman remains aloof to it all.

Revised table…..

1) Eric Cartman...................78
2) Johnny Rep……………………..109
3) Pud..............................114
4) Surreal Dance...............383
5) Psychosomatic...............424
6) MD 20/20......................571
7) Sunlini…………………………....618
8) MalteseMick...................701
9) Bhoy From Brum…………....800
10) Fabulous Fabio..............968
11) Toiler..........................1359
12) Tina…………………………......3456

Ach. I need to try to disguise my rage-driven jealousy a little better. It’s a fair cop.

You’re moderator for the Celtic board, Pud – no, I insist – and, as such, must be expected to keep tabs on all Celtic supporters in all aspects of their lives. Have a word with Styereotypist, please, and explain to him that his absence from the Aberdeen attendance prediction game last night was wholly unacceptable and sectarian.

In other news.....

In order to make last night's win worthwhile, this is what should happen in today's games:

Celtic to beat Dundee Utd
Hearts to beat Kilmarnock
Motherwell to beat or draw with Inverness CT
Ross County to beat St Johnstone
St Mirren to beat Hibs

Make it happen, baby Jesus.

Can't help I'm afraid, ST's an unacceptable sectarian stereotypical Celtic fan ...

I knew it.

Us huns need to stick together, Pud, and fight this sort of thing. <ok>

(Don't think I've not noticed that your name is an anagram of DUP, by the way. Hiding in plain sight. Cunning. Very cunning.)

ST hasn't been seen since Tuesday and it has caused all sorts of speculation. My guess was he caught the newer badder SARS from a Quorn sausage - it's the only logical explanation.

Well, it’s certainly hard to think of any other reason for his continued absence, right enough.

You should probably ban him from Not606, to be honest, lest he comes back and spreads the disease through the rest of the site. That's not the sort of publicity you want.
