People have speculated on various social media sites about what has happened to Max. The consensus has generally been that he has been coached to not be so gung-ho, but no one can really know. The strange thing is that being less adventurous hasn't made his defence work better - in general it's got worse.
Personally, I thought he was far more positive last night than he's been for most of this season.
He a shadow of how he was a couple of seasons ago. Hopefully our next manager can release the shackles to allow him to bring back his incisive and instinctive style
I thought he played better yesterday as an actual wing back , he's not good as a normal right back in my opinion, especially against big lumps .
Aarons tends to get into good positions and stop dead passing backwards often going all the way back to the keeper losing all momentum.
Last night he was clearly told to beat the man and put crosses in , or play a one two and drive into the penalty box .
His delivery wasn't great but he looked way better than the previous games .
At his best he had Buendia with him on the right , Sargent is not the same sort of player that compliments Max, Sinani showed promise on the right with him but Sargent is favoured due to his goals .
I love Aarons but it's probably time we sold him and he plays for a team that uses modern full backs.
His value decreases the worse we get .
