The tax man and his agent will probably take half, then he's got his living expenses. He's not going to save as much as you might think, but he may well be financially self-sufficient at the end of his contract but only enough to provide a relatively modest income.

    And????

Not played any decent football for us at all. All a pipe dream to me.

He had a bit of pace, end of.

Only looked good as the rest were ****e! No better than Sameobi.

And here is a prime of example of a man who can't identify obvious talent. Never take up scouting mate. Unless its for Sunderland of course.

What has that got to do with spotting potential? I think I'll take the opinion of the Man C and Arsenal scouts ahead of someone who rates Haidara highly <laugh>

So we have him lined up for him being sold then? Of course not.

Like I said he is direct and has some pace - talent this does not make.

Also, never said he didn't have potential but then so did Chopra and Doninger. In fact Chelski wanted to buy, yes buy Steven Taylor.

Arsenal didn't think Andy Cole had talent, we didn't think Shearer did etc etc.

From what I have seen of him he is very limited to pace. A 1 in 10 decent crosser.

Agree with Dazza on this point.

He reminds me of Lua Lua. Fans used to cheer like mad whenever he came on as sub and then he ran about a lot without actually doing anything. He had promise but never translated that into effective action on a football pitch over a period of a game or time.

Not seen a lot of Aarons but the times I have suggests he has promise but only in fleeting glimpses has he actually impacted on a game and never over a number of games.

He's now 21yo. You can only have promise and potential for so long before it either develops or not. Saylor for me being a recent example. Now he's out potentially for the rest of the season. He'll then need time to get match fit etc and by then he'll be almost 22yo.

If it doesn't happen then it's likely it never will.

The only player I can think of who managed to make a career based on promise and potential was Shola. He was very promising when he started and he was very promising when he left. Just a pity nobody ever worked out what exactly he was promising!!

The real shame is that he couldn't be fit for this of all seasons since he would get more game time than if/when we are promoted to the Premier League. Also you would think Rafa could have helped him develop. It's going to be harder for him to break into the side when he does come back.

I'm trying to think of a player who was injury prone early in there career but then went on to have a successful career relatively injury free.

I suspect we will never know whether he had potential or not because of the injuries.

He could have been the new Raheem Stirling, but is actually the new Haris Vuckic.

That is harsh, he'll never be that slow or lazy. Even in his sleep.
