    Stats, schmats!

Simple thing is, in comparison to the last relegation season we don't have poisonous little t*ssers like Owen, Duff et al waiting to see out the season so they could disappear and write their brochures.

For the first time in a long time, we actually looked like a TEAM yesterday, people were playing for each other, closing down, snapping into tackles (thought Gouffran and Cabaye were excellent in this) etc.

Let's be honest, a few weeks ago we would've lost to both Villa and Chelsea.

I think we're in a far healthier position than we've been for a long time, but I would agree that we certainly can't rest on our laurels and need to look to be getting a minimum of 8-9 points out of the next 5 matches.

For me the win yesterday makes any result we get at spuds a bonus, and while I'm not brimming with confidence, the fact they don't have a fit first choice striker does give me hope. As long as we can keep everyone fit, and hopefully bring HBA back, it's all about making sure we beat Southampton at home

Whoi would be dropped? I think he'll get ahead of Gouffran before he'd drop Jonas, however he did have a good game yesterday did Jonas.

The lovely thing is the strength in depth means we don't have rush HBA. When he is fit and dropped into this team, I see something special happening.

Exactly. I wouldn't even play him for more that 15 mins against spurs. You'd hope that a front three featuring Ben Arfa and Sissoko with Cabaye behind would be able to do considerable damage to the teams in and around us.

HBA, Sissoko and Gouffran behind Cisse. Mmmmmm. I can see some defences crumbling.

Not gonna happen. Jonas will be right up there, as a result, many of us fans crumble when he tries to cross in.
