Talking about Adamson...the Sunderland board had a choice between him and Brian Clough if my memory is correct. And guess who they chose?
And we all know what Clough did over the next 2 seasons lol. We have always made massive errors at board level. Comical really.

I remember back then i was around 9 years old and i used to wait for the evening chronicle getting put through the letterbox and i used to lie on the floor and read all about the board choosing between Adamson and Clough. Dick advacart who I forgot about the other day about managers Short has sacked or walked out, O Neil, bruce, Poyet, Di canio, Moyes, big Sam, and next Monday Grayson so 8 in total ! and how many contracts are still being paid out/off ?.
