We have evolved over millions of years to have some meat in our diet, just not as much as most of us do. That's why vegans/vegetarians must take supplements. Almost all animals will eat the odd bit of meat if they get the chance - once saw a deer eat a live baby bird!
Beef cattle need a lot of time and resources, which is probably not eco-friendly. However for us to munch our way through a steak now and again is very efficient way to get some of the nutrients we need. Have I read somewhere recently scientists are trying to 'grow' steaks in a lab?

Fine by me! I've had scorpion, meal worm and cricket. I'm not put off by it to be honest. Locusts are just big land prawns as far as I can see.
Did you not get to Tesco before it shut or something? Nah fair play it's not for me though unless it was a necessity.
Opportunities just presented themselves so I thought I'd give it a go. I figure if people in other places eat them, they cant taste that bad.
I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but I am replacing some meals with vegan alternatives which I have found very acceptable.
What were they mate? All of my favourite meals involve meat but I'm open to having my horizons broadened.
This research appears to suggest that Vegans are 'thicker' than meat eaters. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200127-how-a-vegan-diet-could-affect-your-intelligence
A vegan at work was preaching (as they do) to me about animals life rights and that i was a murderer etc etc. He was getting all bent out of shape and increasingly hostile during the discussion. I commended him on his views and asked him if he considered insects to be living animals and surely equally entitled to his thoughts ?. He agreed. I then pointed out the billions of insects that die through the crops grown that he eats. His reply was "you fooking prick"
