Earnie must've taken the situation into account when he signed for Maccabi. From my own personal experiences I know it isn't pleasant living in that environment but the folks just get on with it. It's certainly far worse for the Palestinians.
Tough place to live let alone play football. Maybe not something he considered at the time but should have. Regarding the situation out there and the innocent comment Taff just made, I hope this thread doesn't descend into another political argument.
It seemed a strange move at the time - maybe Dekel Keinan recomended it??? There were rumours Earnie had been offered something in MLS at the time- I know where I would have gone.
