would be a CB for me,

find it amazing upson is still unattached, dont think we would go for him due to wages, but would like someone with bags of experience that isnt past it just yet

you think upson would be glad just to be playing again at what ever wages, maybe a 1 year contract and then show what he has to offer and get picked up in january or at the end of the season or at the very least earn a new contract

Jay Rodriguez would be an awesome signing. I just hope at least 3-4 million is reinvested in the squad.

Upson and Fonte at the back...... could be interesting! On 1 hand, a defender that isn't scared to put his head near a foot if needed and can chip in with a few goals. On the other hand a defender that again doesn't mind putting his head near a foot if needed and England's joint top scorer in the World Cup so can also chip in with a few. Sounds like a good partnership to me!

Can't see Upson dropping a league and his wage expectations will be too high.

Expect a club like West Brom or Wigan to swoop in last minute.

Ham salad sandwich for me - would have snapped up a BLT sharpish though if I could have, definitely the king of sandwiches.

Hi Beddy, has someone used the merge thread on this one, as it appears to be two threads. One about the signings we might make and the other about people's luncheon proclivities. Makes surreal reading and my stomach rumble at the same time!!
