    All on the assumption that Ashley keeps the club of course. We weren't meant to be able to compete this season either though.

    When they have been pulled out of a crowd by graham Carr it makes all the difference mate. I have total trust in him. He knows what he is looking at.

    That is the opinion of all my mag mates. Seems ok now but they are waiting to see the Carrol money and the rest invested (To even keep the good ones they have got) and until they see that they fear a steady decline.


    That said if they can keep it going for a few years and steady the financial ship whilst remaining premier league then go for broke again when the club can afford it. I guess they are wanting to hear the " 5 year plan " cos at the minute it seems to be get my money back.


    I feel Sunderland have changed policies towards this way under Short's stewardship and are trying to walk back the Keane era wage bill and deadwood. However, just at the moment he seems more inclined to reinvest what is recouped.
