Thanks for all the advice and VERY kind offers of help. There are some very good people on here!

I've booked into the Double Tree in town and bought my ticket for the game! I will leg it to the hotel, dump my bag and grab a taxi to the MKM.

I might miss the start but it'll be worth it as it'll my first home game since the opening day of the season vs Bristol City :1980_boogie_down:

Yes the Double Tree by Hilton. It was £104 for the night.

You can probably walk from the Doubletree as quickly as a taxi can get you there on a matchday evening. I stay there quite often for night matches.

Leave your bag on the train then go to lost property afterwards.
Or Contact Reception at the ground and explain your predicament.
They would look after it for you and perhaps give you VIP treatment

Which Stand are you in ST? I park my car in the bays around the stadium, you are welcome to store it in the car if you want.

Thanks mate much appreciated. I'm sorted now though as I booked an hotel in the town centre.

Plus knowing the trains I'll probably not get there until half time <laugh>

If you get stuck with late trains and need to just leg it to the stadium with the bag, I park my car in the south stand car park and can lock/unlock my car from my phone. DM me and I'll send you my phone number.

I didn't realise you couldn't take bags into matches. Do they not just do bag searches to assess if someone has any dangerous materials?

You can take bags into matches. I guess the OP is talking about a large travel bag and the question is where would he put it during the match, if under the seat isn’t an option.
