gives everything he has got is absolutely right and there are many who agree with me that knows about football like i do....he is a great player but at championship level only..open your eyes look where we are4, look at all the points we have dropped at home with the so called target games, how many away games have we won? remind me again, and all you can think of is he is not getting the service....what a cop out he has had plenty of chances, today's goal was a great finish but he got lucky as it hit him on the arm, a blind man could see that,
Daiswan- Think your view on Graham is one of a lunatic ! he had 1 chance today, actually a half chance if we re being honest and he scored a goal!! he works his nuts off and couldnt do anymore if he tried !! Your talking about goals, well we need to create chances first then we can talk about goals. DG has been awesome for us and worth every penny we paid. The problems in our team are with midfield not the striker, if you give DG the chances he will and has taken them.
I still think DG should play for England ,would sweat and bleed for the cause ,as he always has , never shirks hard work , and aint a prima donna , I have met and spoke to the guy and he comes across as witty ,good fun and very intelligent! not something you normally call a footy player
His goal today was typical of him! a great finish made by chasing a lost cause!! (might have been handball though)
DG is doing fine Dai, your sounding like your idol Leighton James again, and talking complete nonsense about a striker that is doing more than he is being asked, if you want to blame anyone blame the supporting playes or the tactics dont blame the centre forward who cvers ever blade of grass and pops up with the goals as well !!
His relentless (Dai) 'putting-down' of Graham is baffling to say the least!! He portrays to have a far better footballing understanding than just about any poster on here, Jack or not!! But continually fails to see, or wants to recognize, how ineffective in an attacking & supportive sense our midfield are!!! We are going nowhere fast & it's not down to Graham......
Dai, one goal in 10 chances????????????????? That means DG has had 60 chances???????? Excuse the question marks, you seem to invite them. Can you not see that it wouldn't matter who we had up front with the garbage that our midfield is serving up? And it is pure, unadulterated, pathetic, garbage! Danny Graham is lucky if he gets two clear cut chances a game - some games he has had good old-fashioned bugger all to work off. Take a bow, the midfield. It really takes some doing that, 500 odd passes per game, most of 10 yards or less (backwards or sideways) and, at a guess, some 1% of them a creative, penetrating ball. That makes 5 per game so even the 1% is an exaggeration. Read my last post properly, Dai. I said he would have double figures IF he had decent service. He doesn't get it. He won the ball and made his own goal against Stoke and to day's effort, as Norway posted, was hardly a half chance. He took the ball under pressure from two big defenders, turned them and squeezed an exquisite shot beyond the keeper. With all due respect, if you don't consider that a finish of the highest quality and class, you don't know what you're looking at. You seem determined to fire your salvoes at Danny. Perhaps you should reserve some of your shot for the real culprits - that pack of misfits who believe they are a PL midfield. If they lived up to half the hype they have been basking in, Danny Graham might well have nailed double figures by now - just 4 more than he's got anyway.
Hi Hornet, im Living in Tasta Stavanger but spend alot of time up in Bergen also, not working in the oil game directly now,was working on a FPSO project in Haugesund for a while with a British company but had a permenant offer to jump to a norweigan company in Stavanger that does work inall aspects of elec/instrumentation stuff , i want to be based there for a few years as im hoping to do my ROV pilots licence with one of the sub sea companies based there. Though i have to say its a very cushy number where i am How about you mate? your down south from me arnt you ??
Yep bout 50 k got a mate in tasta that works for Sub sea 7 (Bill Thomson) I work at Sola airport on the helicopters ,have spent most of the summer at Bergen !
NJ Happy New Year to you too!! Also, a rather late Merry Christmas by the way..... It would sure be happy if we could 'poach' at least a point off Arry's boys' on Sat!! Somehow you have to dream dude, because the way we're performing at the mo, it'll take that!!!!....
Graham is a goal hunting machine , our foundation for set pieces , a work ethic madman , the new co -holder( from last season ) of an eighty year old record at Watford for scoring in 7 straight games . Seems likeable too ... 5,000,000 combined price for Graham & Vorm .... SWEET !!
I'm finally giving up on Dai, he's completely and utterly a lost cause, how the hell he picks on Graham, with his tripe, the only half decent striker to our name is beyond belief, yes Graham could have scored a second or third, but look at the passes and crosses he was supposed to get on the end of, what is worrying me is that, we are starting to fail in our midfield at creating chances, this has been the problem for about 4 games, and Rodgers seems clueless to sort it out. Moore today was a big let down, back to his usual self, Joe Allen has been under performing, Briton was the only bright spark in midfield, we really have lost the fluidity to our midfield game, you can't expect Britton and Allen to hold things together there, when shipping Agustien to right back, why do we have Besson with us, if we are not going to use him at left back, surely he should have been on the bench, with the issues at the back, but then Monk was on the bench, so why the move to put Agustien at right back, we conceded right after Rodgers substitutions, they say a manager is only as good as his substitutions, and to me at the moment, I'm not getting some of Rodgers decision making, by a long way!............ please log in to view this image
Swans singing Danny's praises to the rafters while questioning BR's methods? I do begrudgingly think he's your best shot at staying up. Sacking him mid-season would achieve nothing.
Our midfield, 'or lack of', is what's worrying me the most!! Give Graham decent enough ball & he'll reward us. So I'm not too concerned with this area. Caulker's return has made the defence more assured too!! Here too, my sentiments as per our attack!! But our midfield, where do we start??!! We seem 'rudderless'!!!! There's no drive, purpose or direction. This midfield is going nowhere fast in keeping us up if we carry on as we are!!! We basically go from game to game without even having a 'pop' on goal, no matter the woeful service to our striker. Everything's too slow too, the build-up is easily absorbed by just about any team. There's no individual creativity, no spark in our play. We rarely play any through balls behind an oppositions defence. It's all very predictable. This is not new though, we've been through this at various periods in the Championship. But obviously the unforgiving Premier league is proving to ask even more questions of us than we can answer!! We're starting to get out-played by the lower sides in this league at home too. Something we've not been used to. Our midfield needs new quality faces & we need them now. We need a play-maker & someone with drive!! When you look at the fixtures well into the new year, you struggle to see where the 3-pointers are going to come from. This is not me being pessimistic, I'm always hoping we regain the initiative. But looking at our 'limp' performances of late, I'm really struggling to see where we can.....
