The first one was the first film i ever saw in the cinema - I was 7. I thought it was great but now would rather eat broken glass than sit through it again. As someone else said, they're for kiddies anyway so who really cares how good they are?
I was about 10 when I saw it. I can remember queueing around the block at the Odeon in Glasgow and it felt like forever before we got in. Loved it as a kid and it's still harmless entertainment even now on a wet Sunday afternoon.
