..........to a Sunday morning.
I must admit to not paying attention while purchasing some beer yesterday.
On the way back from town running errands for Mrs Remote I took the opportunity of grabbing a few beers for watching the rugby after listening to the City.
Wandeing around the local Tesco Express I spotted bottles of beer, 3 for £5 . I'm quite partial to Morland's Old Speckled Hen so when I noticed some Old Crafty Hen I thought I'd give it a go. Was a little surprised when they rang up £2.90 a bottle, but the offer of 3 for a fiver stood.
The beer was good if a little sweet for my palate. Anyway, a good point for us given the other results and an exciting win against France before an evening meal with a couple of glasses of red. By mid evening I was in a relatively merry state, more than would be expected normally for the libation taken.
The state was supported this morning with a sluggish start but was explained as I was putting out the empties. Old Crafty Hen says the bottle, a premium beer at 6.5%.
Note to self: read the labels of beer bottles, the content of which is unfamiliar to you.
Second note to self: re-visit local Tesco Express and check the shelves for more bottles of Old Crafty Hen at 3 for £5.
