That was true,he had to pay Darren Clarke the mill when he won the Open,same deal/management.

I've only ever bought one shirt in the Ashley era, that was the neon yellow away kit we had in 2011/2012 season with Virgin Money on the front....quite liked that one albeit the quality wasn't much to write home about.

I go to a european league game once a year with a group of lads for a weekend away so I normally buy a top for the team that we're going to watch, normally a retro one off of years gone by (as long as it's not red and white of course). Got a nice little collection building up.
 
Nobody will pay what he wants and even if they did we would still be **** unless they spent about 500 million on players . Just accept were a smaller club than you think .

I thought it was only the Sunderland shirts that needed to have the same qualities as bog roll.

I'm not talking about trying to compete with Man City (Saudi Arabia) I'm talking about Ashley letting the Manager spend the money the club creates. Currently the profits have been spent buying Debenhams.

We spend and hes not taking money out . I think we make **** all basically.

Another aussie who just doesn't get it? Coincidence?

I will not be at any games, will not be buying any merch, won't watch sky/btsports, buy anything from ANY of MA's tat shops etc. haven't since the last relegation.

Until Ashley is gone I will not be back.

Sorry don't agree,most Toon supporters are born Toon supporters,and will always be Toon supporters,just when you think your out it pulls you back in,I've supported the Toon for sixty years or so and have seen some REAL s***e but still come back for more,and that always applies

Whereas for some people it's like turning a tap on and off.
As far as I see it, go if you want too, and if you don't want to go, ITS SIMPLE don't go.
