IF the club that used to be called Rangers are found guilty of having dual contracts with any of the players that played that night then it's likely the scoreline will be reversed
nah, considering how far Scottish football has supposedly fallen, that was a giant killing act of epic proportions. As trevor pointed out they spent more on 1 player than we did on our entire team. Don't forget they were battering barcelona at the nou camp 2 weeks ago.
Lyon have a European pedigree going back the entire CL, who the **** are Spartak Moskva? It was good result, any win away in the CL is, but put it into perspective before you **** yourself into a coma, you beat 10 men with a last minute goal and deflection.
As ST says; Celtic never cheated their way to the away win last night. If Rangers are found guilty then the Lyon result was gained by Hun cheatery.
i usually have time to kill when i am at work and no **** is on here. can a man not be obsessed if he wants to be obsessed? call me weird but it makes me smile when i go on there and see some of the pish written. I have never been on kds, but if there are posts like the one i pulled from RM then i would expect it to get ripped to shreds on here
The deflection/OG goal was my favourite last night. The football in the build-up was magic culminating in the ball from Mulgrew, dummy from Sammy, unselfish hold up from Hooper and a great blind side run off Forrest. Without mentioning the penalty we should've had in the first half (sort of), it was only the keeper's fingertips that stopped Ledley scoring the goal of the tournament at 2-2. For the first and last 30 mins last night, the team were absolutely fantastic. If we hadn't gotten the winner, I'd still be raving about the performance - very similar to the game in Udine in that respect.
Couldn't believe jeff stellings comments after the game. Saying samaras had a poor game apart from the goal. I thought he played rather well tbh.
Ach, they've all just developed a semi for Hooper a full year after they should've had a raging hard on. The early kick off meant folk like Lineker and Lawrenson who wouldn't normally watch us got to see Hooper ragdolling Spartak's defence.
Hooper is class, what a first touch hes got. Although this talk for england is a bit ott. He is probably about 5-6th in the pecking order the now.
winning away in Lyon was a cracking result what do u think the best CL results have been for scottish teams celtic 1 man utd 0 celtic 2 ac milan 1 celtic 2 lyon 0 barcelona 1 celtic 1 celtic 1 porto 0 celtic 4 juventus 3 lyon 0 rangers 3 rangers 0 barcelona 0
hooper is a strange one for me. at times he looks brilliant like last night but at other times he looks dreadful, i think it was reb who said on another post that he had to be at 100%or he is no good, i feel the same. I have always criticised him when he has played up front on his own as i felt he was not good enough at holding the ball up. thought sammy drifted in and out of the game yesterday and that the game seemed to pass chico by a wee bit
Rangers beat a (half) decent PSV team away from home under Avocaat as well. As far as tide-turning results go (results that herald a change in Scottish footballing power), I reckon last night's was up there. Rangers beating Parma and Celtic beating Ajax were both watersheds - both teams used those results to go into periods of being feared in Europe. Last night, Barca sat up, by the way. Spartak took them all the way in their own back yard.
guidi reckons there are 20 forwards ahead of him in the pecking order...ffs He included andy johnson in the 12 or so he could name.
