I would have said there's actually been more hatred between some Southampton fans, than toward us just recently. I'm glad you got your player anyway and hopefully it will all calm down now. You all support the same team, you're back in the PL, I just can't understand what all the fuss was about. Give each other a you silly billys.
It is about opinion and a dislike of a certain type of personality and motive. However if you like we can start being beastly to you guys again. Tragically I can't as I have grown rather fond of you guys and your resilience and optimism in the face of continuing catastrophe and disaster. The very lovely Mrs Godders (who does exist by the way or I would like to know who that strange woman was who just cooked my breakfast) has had a new doorbell fitted and when the electrician went I discovered to my horror that it rings out with the Pompey Chimes. Ordinarily I would have insisted it be changed straight away but it has stayed because every time it rings I regard it as a death knell. Rather sadly I cannot warm to the morons of both persuasions who post on the Snooze football threads. There are some rather nasty people posting regularly on there with just one or two sane individuals who regularly get insulted.
Here we are two games into a season we have waited a long time for - there are more handbags flying around than at the Sydney Mardi Gras - Surely a poster can post whether he is 80 or 18 on a subject that he feels worthy of discussion without many decending into a slagging match - let us all enjoy this fantastic ride - what will be will be lets be confident that those in charge will do what they feel is best for SFC - I'm running out of shiraz and serapax !!!
If the lovely Mrs Godders didn't exist she would have had to be invented. Some people allow themselves to be riled (including you, Godders), whereas I usually state my case and walk away. If a view is strongly held (eg Guly) it can be impossible to change someones mind. In the end it's all about opinions, but some take it as personal attacks and then it slides into actual personal attacks. Internet forums unfortunately mean you put something into words that if you put into a letter you'd screw it up and throw away.
I would like to know just exactly whereabouts The Very Lovely Mrs Godders has had this doorbell fitted!
On our front door of course. However it no longer plays the Pompey Chimes as I got fed up with that after the umpteenth time it rang and removed the batteries. The very lovely Mrs Godders thought it was broken and got out the manual to read it to see if she could repair the bell when she read that you can change the ring tone to any of quite a wide selection. Once I knew this I told her what I had done and she has refitted the battery. She has also changed the ring tone and I am sat by the door waiting for someone to call to see what she has set it to. I am also on very strict instructions not to interfere with it again. I love it when she gets all domineering.
I hope so, its what he wants, and he could be pivotol in pulling the strings (and scoring some goals) with all the attacking talent we have around him. Regards silly thread......I've seen a lot worse!
