Giroud is not a realistic target anymore. He's been absolutely immense in the Ligue 1 ad would cost over 15 million.

Yanga-Mbiwa is slightly mental but a good player, just don't think he'd cut it in the EPL. Goes in for stupid tackles far too often.

I would go for Erik Pieters, Liam Ridgewell and a striker being either Roux/Cisse/De Jong/Van Wolfswinkel

 

Cisse would be excellent but he'd probably cost a bomb too unfortunately!

 

Yet, still he's signed a new contract with us, and that is despite the fact that he is competing with the likes of Sandro, Parker, Modric, Kranjcar, and THudd for a place in the centre of our midfield.

It's clear that Harry sees him as having a future at Spurs which, given our embarrassment of riches in that area, surely must give you some clue as to just how good he is.

Believe me, if he goes out on loan to any club, you will eat your words.

And, by the way, do you really believe that you can hold onto Tiote, when he comes back from the ANC?

and after watching a few PSG games i'd like Erdinç.on the few occasions he's had pitch time he's impressed me example of this was the game against Sochaux yesterday. he was on for about 5 mins but still did more than our other target Maïga who is very similar to Ba where as Erdinç is fast (i mean ****ing rapid) smaller,looks technically better if a little ruff around the edges.i can see why we chased him all summer.

 

Is he really competing? I suspect that he wouldn't be able to overcome a fully fit Parker and Modric in good form. Much in the same way he wouldn't outedge Cabaye or Tiote, who are two of our very best players.

Teams need squad depth. A player signing a long-term contract doesn't automatically mean that he's superb and as good as the best players at the club.

I doubt it. I suspect that he's probably a good young player, but there's no way on this earth that he's better than either Cabaye or Tiote at the moment. The fact that Livermore is 22 and has barely had a sniff at the Spurs first team, and he hasn't been anywhere near any of the England teams (even the U-18 or U-21 teams) leads me to believe that he probably isn't the superstar player you think he is.

I'd happily have him on loan as cover, but to have him on loan with a view to using him over Cabaye or Tiote is nonsense.

If Tiote wants to stay, yes. Apart from Carroll's massive £35mill offer, no player has yet to leave who hasn't requested it. Barton was shunted out for his awful attitude, Nolan didn't think his new contract was good enough, and Enrique also had an awful attitude towards the owners and wanted out.

To the uninformed, it might seem like we're a club who is trying to flog our best players, but in reality, bar Carroll, every other player has wanted out for one reason or another.

 

That's who I'd choose if I had to select one from each position.
