I know that in the past I've been one of the more negative posters on here while we had Hughton in charge (and IMHO justifiably so), but I'm finding the negative 'throw in the towel' attitude from many on here at present truly unbelievable. I'm just glad that these posters are not giving today's team talk <doh> We now have a new man at the helm with a more positive approach it's made me more positive too, I've just seen Adams' pre-match interview on the BBC and he basically said that to sit back and try to defend against Liverpool is folly as they will tear you to pieces, he's going to 'go for it', '**** or bust' basically. Now we still might get hammered today, but what a refreshing change to have a manager with such a positive approach to a game. IF we go down I truly believe we will go down fighting and not with a whimper that we surely would have done under the previous regime. It IS do-able we need 3 or 4 points to survive possibly only 2 IMO, even taking into account Sunderland's freak win at The Bridge yesterday.

Just like Neeyul think positive, keep fighting, let's all pull together and bollocks to the so called 'big boys', over the next four games ..............

Agreed KIO. (Although I think we need at least one win as an absolute minimum following Sunderland's results this week. Or four draws, I guess.)
 
It is very strange how supporters views have completely changed since CH sacking. Those who wanted him out were so negative and never gave the team a chance, but now believe we can win any game. Those who wanted to support CH think that we are pretty much relegated. Who said football fans are fickle? For me nothing is over until it is over, any game is winnable and that has never changed. Clearly we have an uphill task but staying up is still in our own hands.

Yes, there's a lot in what you say. I guess a cynic would say that ultimately we all want to be proved right. If I'm honest, I don't feel at all optimistic in the short term, but I am still so glad that the awful two years of Hughton have finally finished, so I am optimistic in the long term. We can come back.

Not sure if it so much that, more that everyone wants the best for the club but have different views on how that can be achieved. Anyway what has happened has happened and it is a big game today. So nothing much else matters.

Ridiculous comment to make, I´ve not heard that many throw in the towel just yet, and anyway where was all your rallying when we needed it, earlier in the season? OTBC
 
ive got not time for negativity in the next 3 games, we HAVE to be positive this is the last chnace saloon guys, and look we are putting up a fight

Absolutely <ok>

I find it laughable that all those doom and gloom merchants who have spent the past year or so whinging, wining and telling us all how bad things are and that we've been doomed for ages (despite the fact we've been fairly comfortable in mid table) are how suddenly full of optimism and positivity despite the fact we are neck high in **** and in the worst situation we've been in since returning to the top flight.
 
its not a case of being positive because CH has gone, the fact of the matter is we have 3 games left to save ourselves, i was never a CH outer but what i am is a fighter and i never give up, its not over until the very end so whats the point in keep moaning about what might happen when we still have a chance.... the end of the season is the time to vent your anger not right now :emoticon-0148-yes:
 
So it's ok for those who didn't like Hootun to have been venting their anger and disgust all season, even when we were comfortable in the league then?

I'm sorry but I'm a realist, and we're this season now, I can see no way we can stay up.

Sad to say Munky, I agree with every word you say on this thread, I am convinced our season has been defined by a vocal group of fans forcing DM's hand!
 
likewise im a pragmatist, i wasnt happy with the timing either of CH's dismissal but the fact remains we STILL have a chance, i dont really want to think about it until the end we will have many month to go over it and with any luck wont have to if we get a little bit of luck.
 
We lost, but we went down fighting. A Hughton side would NEVER have put in that sort of performance. I still think we'll stay up now and to all those bleating on about Hughton, he's gone and thank ****

Whatever are you talking about, I´ve heard very few people bleating on about Hughton since the day or two after he was sacked. Very encouraging performance, unlucky not to get a point, but as far as I´m concerned too little too late to save us this year. Looking forward to being proved wrong.
