Apologies to all who know my stance on this, but I just posted on twitter:
I know "big names=box office" but what would happen if Chelsea finished 19th in the league - instead of Bolton or Blackburn?
Would the old cliché "too good to go down" miraculously apply then, based on a set of protectionist parameters yet to be devised?
Sink or swim, if it can happen to Walsall, Watford or Wigan, it should equally apply to the "big" clubs.
That's it, I've shut up now
So Chelski get dumped out of a European competition...and thanks to Blatter's incompetence, find themselves in a European competition. Que??
