This is a potential problem. I am ****ing **** with stairs if there's no handrail. I'll have to find out where the seats are as if there's a long climb, I'm out
There's a lift mate, but I think you have to ask to be able to use it, mention it at the gate, you'll be sorted. In fairness to them their organisation there is brilliant, makes our 2 looks like amateurs tbh.
The last time I was at Anfield, I explained to one of the stewards that I had arthritis in both knees and he walked me all the way yo my seat. Half way, he said "you're not just doing this 'cos you're pissed are you?". I said I'd had a few but it wasn't the main reason
I once went with a mate to Old Trafford. On the train home, he decided to tell the Man Utd fans (about fifteen of them) who were from Chesterfield that we were from Mansfield and that I supported Liverpool. They weren't so friendly after that and I can confirm that our departure from the train (in Chesterfield where they also departed) was a very quick one
It's as safe as you're going to get outside of the corporate seats/boxes. Bit like watching subbuteo if you're in the top tier. If you suffer from vertigo have more than a few beers before the game!
Top tier = long climb. Much longer than I expected the first time I sat up there. Call the club and ask them how many flights of stairs to your seat. Don't use your real accent (assuming you're a bona fide Scouser)!
He could although that might seem a bit ungrateful if he turns down the invite because he doesn't really fancy where the seats are...
At the same time as asking about where the seats are, how safe it is, how many flights of stairs he'll have to climb etc RHC could also ask his client to confirm that he won't need to take his wallet with him!
You will have no problem getting up and down the stand RHC, as has been said there are lifts and all stairs have handrails. Where you might have a problem is getting to your seat, the steps down the rows are about a foot high with no handrail (this knocks **** out of my bad hip) so it all depends where your seat is in relation to the entrance/exits. In my personal opinion they could make these steps half the width and so half the height without causing any problems and making life much easier for old ****s like us.
He probably got away with it being a young lad and in a party for a guy with an illness. He was also probably not too much of a knob about being a Utd fan. Having watched derby matches with RHC, I can guarantee he wouldn't get away with it! I would be tempted to take the ticket if RHC doesn't want it, but it's a long way to travel, and my armchair is just too comfortable
