Seems highly unlikely on all known evidence. Review has taken place, changes have now happened and they're all still talking about Pards as manager. Not impossible with Mike of course but the odds are firmly against it happening. If we were going to bullet Pards which I'd be strongly against, I quite like Poyet. Mad as a *****ose but there could be real chemistry with Fruitcake Joe

PR wise and fan wise I agree. However if Pards can work with him and results are good, it is soon forgotten. Just good copy in quiet times at present. Don't get me wrong JK would not have been my choice but I honestly don't see it as that big a deal and drama as some. Keeping it in perspective I'd be far more worried to discover Krul, Cabaye and HBA were all being actively peddled. Players and results carry far more weight to me.

That would really turn the fans against the top brass.

This for me, had we just sold Krul for not a lot of money to another premier league team, and were trying to offload Ben Arfa I would be worried.

This has been a PR nightmare and has become a dream for the numerous journalists the JFK and Ashely have upset/banned/offended over recent years. However, if the club had just said, we've replaced llambias with someone that knows more about football then perhaps this awful appointment would be easier to swallow.

Joe Kinnear cannot even pronounce our own players names correctly.

He is a mad oaf with a dodgy ticker. How can anyone seriously not be upset by his appointment?

I reckon Mike Ashley is betting on JFK having a heart-attack and then reaping all the free publicity to further enhance his Sports Direct empire <doh>

We'll have to see what impact he has though. As I say I'd prefer not. He is self confessed loose cannon, nuts, ready to keel, but he is here and we'll just have to see how it goes. If results are good it will all seem a bit less dramatic. Pronouncement of names is no biggie, Bobby called Shola Carl Cort.

That's if he makes the start of the season.

I'm convinced that Ashley is loving all the media coverage - it's the only way we're going to make headlines, off the pitch.

Sir Bobby made a mistake of identity, he never got the pronunciation wrong, just the player! <laugh>

Don't worry we all know why you don't look in the past. I hear they have removed history from the curriculum in the Sunderland area.

Seems a little earlier to be igniting a derby debate but given our unquestionable surperiority, go on then ;) At least those below 50 have a chance of having seen our doubles!

    Derby double
For either team to beat the other in both league games in a season is seen as a great achievement and a sign of superiority. Newcastle have achieved the double in 11 seasons, while Sunderland have managed 6 doubles.
